   A Hidden Gem – Highly Recommend! I recently visited The Spring Gardens and was genuinely impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and relaxed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a great mix of locals and visitors. The food was excellent – fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. I’d especially recommend the steak and hunters chicken absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were generous, and the prices are very fair for the quality you get. There’s also a great selection of drinks on tap, and the outdoor seating area is perfect for a sunny afternoon. It’s clear the place is well looked after, with clean facilities and friendly service throughout. All in all, The Spring Gardens is a lovely spot whether you’re just popping in for a drink or staying for a full meal. Will definitely be back!

   What an amazing pub and eatery! Been in a few times,the new chef has some tricks up his sleeves , had the steak burger and my girlfriend had the lasagne, probably the least daring choice on the menu and still blew us away! 100% recommend eating here, stayed for a few hours afterwards for drinks too! Staff were brilliant too! Highly recommend!

   The Sunday Dinners here are a thing of legend. The usual meats Beef, Lamb and Turkey with Roast and boiled mashed potatoes supported by mashed carrots, parsnips and broccolli. Finally cauliflower cheese. There are "house beers" and guest ales rotated weekly . I went for Timothy Taylor's Landlord ale, beautiful. Booking is advised , as I did, as it is usually busy (I booked for4pm )

   What an absolute joke of a place this is!! After Jerry has just lost his beautiful wife, the mother to his gorgeous daughter he has not been allowed to grieve by this company. He has dedicated the last 4/5 years here as their chef, providing their customers with top grade home cooked meals to be SACKED for not being in work the week before and the week leading to his wife's funeral. He is entitled to compassionate leave of 3wks by law yet the manager here feels its acceptable to sack him. I sure as hell hope this place are dragged through court for unfair dismissal and hang their heads in shame. Avoid this place at all costs as they do not have any compassion for their staff. All they care about is themselves .

   Massive thanks to all the girls, staff, and Jerry the chef! At the spring gardens Had a last minute arranged 50th birthday meal, and from the start was looked after superbly nothing was too much trouble for the kind friendly staff. Great choice of drinks at good prices, and the food and choice of meals was the very best we have had for a long time! Jerry pulled out all the stops to give 100% great food.,beautifully presented. So glad we went and will be definitely going there again! Thanks again! Ps also very dog friendly place too!

   We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.
