Warm friendly welcome, pleasant, helpful and attentive service. Chef helpful when carving (both had the Carvery) and plenty of Veg and Good gravy. We've been here 4 times and always enjoy it, even our Guest were impressed.
Popped in for lunch. Gorgeous welcoming pub. Lovely atmosphere and warm and inviting. Our server Cat, was friendly, helpful and polite. She smiled the whole time and you could tell she loved working for the Almond pub group. Food was very good value and great taste. Speed of service just right too. Highly recommend
My Sister, Brother and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch at The Stead Eagle. The staff are extremely friendly and fun! Food wise we tried the Carvery; fantastic choice, fresh and delicious! Service for drinks was very good too! We will go again, definitely!
We ate here on Saturday 11.10.25. A big family group of 11. Age range 14 months -65 . Every one of us had great food, some carvery eaters, others chose from the menu. The staff were amazing (Trish as always), efficient and hugely accommodating. Even though it was quite busy, nothing was too much trouble. I personally recommend the carvery. It is amazing and the chef had added a shepherd's pie as a meat option, together with beef, Turkey, Chinese pork and roast pork. So glad I chose to have some. Delicious! Our go-to eatery, especially when family come to visit. Thank you and very well done all of you.
Everything is good. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly (and pretty) staff. Foods are presented very nice. I ordered battered fish for my son and the battered layer is thin and crispy. It’s really amazing. We definitely will come again.
Best pub experience Ive had in years. Delicious food with generous portion size. Staff were really friendly and service was top notch!
I was visiting Spread Eagle with a close friend, I had red Thai curry and my close friend had a Fish pie. It was a lovely building, full of life, architecture and pictures of people and history. Food was amazing, Compliments to the Chef. Lovely Service from the staff. Kind Regards, Aaron
If I could give this place more stars I would. Gorgeous casual-yet-stylish interiors, staff so friendly and helpful, great buzz from customers, food delicious and well portioned. The best roast/carvery in the area IMO. The downside is it gets super busy so expect a short wait and grab a drink at the bar and enjoy it!
We went for a New Years Eve meal, I had a delicious burger and my girlfriend had the pork chop which looked amazing. They even gave us New Years eve hats. It was very good and would go again if I'm in the area.
Friendly staff and a nice traditional pub atmosphere (with a family oriented edge but still great for big kids like us too)
