I’ve been a customer of Piri Piri for around 8 years and have always enjoyed the food here, which makes this review disappointing to write. On my recent visit, we ordered 2 whole peri peri frangos with 3 bread rolls, 3 peri peri sauces and 5 drinks. Unfortunately, the hygiene standard was not what we have previously experienced. We found hair on the food marinated on two separate occasions during the same visit (photo attached). We informed the staff immediately both times. First time food pot was taken and brought back but same thing happened again - hair. A 10% discount was given, which we appreciated, but the issue did affect the overall experience. I’m sharing this feedback not to discourage others, but in the hope that hygiene and quality control are taken more seriously going forward. This has always been one of our go-to places, and it would be great to see the standards return to what they used to be.

Been to all the different peri peri places, but this one is still the best. Don’t believe the negative reviews. 99% of the time the food is top notch. We come from Batley regularly, which is 40 minutes away, like many of our other compadres. The food is spicy, so don’t complain that you can’t taste anything else but spice. Genuine review with genuine picture to offset the bad reviews left by people. Been coming here for approx 18 years, but we do love hot food.

Booked at 7pm for 10:30 — “No worries,” he says, full of false hope and empty promises. Called at 10pm to order and suddenly man’s acting like Gordon Ramsay during a power cut. "Two tables of four in, can’t handle more.” Bro. You serve chicken, not launch space missions. Still showed up at 10:45 like mugs — expecting carnage, found vibes deader than dial-up internet. One lonely table of three sipping Pepsi and wondering where it all went wrong. Clearly, effort goes off the menu after 10pm. Maybe he’s got beef with chicken. Maybe laziness is the house special. Either way, the only thing grilled that night… was our expectations. Avoid — the only thing they served us was emotional damage, seasoned with regret and a drizzle of late-night despair.

3/10 - chicken was dry, foods not the best. Need to half there prices with the quality of the food they’re providing. Service is not great, and prices are not either. I recommend go to royal peri peri or peri desi instead. Wait time was too long. Then the food came and was disappointing & the waitress picked her nose and flicked it across the place. G R O S S.

Hello friends . The first time I'm going to dine at this place. As you can see, I was surprised by the bad food that this only tasted a little. I didn't like it at all. The sauce is horrible. The meat doesn't even have any flavor. I left the food as it is, and Cameron didn't care. If you eat it good or bad. He didn't even bother to ask. What mattered to them in money they only charged me in full. as you see on the tickets. I will never return to this place. I won't recommend anyone to go either. I don't like the food, that's why there are no people in this place.

The food was fresh and delicious and the sauce they serve it in is one of the best I have tasted, service is nice and polite and quick.

It's a glorified takeaway tbh. We had a platter of double chicken leg, beef steak (which is a thin strip like a doner) rice and chips. We went for the spicy hot option, which really is that. The chicken pieces were very small, and the strip was thin. The only saving grace is the flavour. 1 starter, 2 drinks, 2 platters £56. Not great value for money.

Wow, the prawns are sensational . Worth the wait. If you want proper piri piri then come to this place. A word of warning though be prepared to wait as all food is cooked fresh to order, great food takes time. Will be back for sure.
