Ate here last year for Christmas Dinner. We had crackers on the table, every course of food was superb. This year, not so much. Service was excellent. No crackers or festive decor. Nice paté with cold toast, a prawn cocktail with no garnish, and a flatbread that I could've made at home on the cheap. Bland, mostly dough, little filling. Turkey was served cold. Steak was cooked, mostly even, but didn't taste as if it had been seasoned. The onion garnish was horrendous and the peppercorn sauce was watery. The loaded fries were basically parmesan fries, but extremely overcooked and crunchy, in a plastic dish designed for children honestly. A bed of tasteless and soggy asparagus. Dessert helpings were extremely small. The cauliflower cheese was nice, and the oven chips were fine. Cocktail prices were entirely reasonable. Not ideal for a Christmas dining experience, honestly. Service was superb, but the food was not up to scratch.

Horrendously slow service the last 2 times we've been. Tonight we waited 5+ minutes at the door, 20 further minutes to be asked our order, 65 minutes from then until our meal arrived, and even after being promised they'd prioritise our desserts, took an extra 20 minutes over them too. All said, we were there with 2 young children for 2 courses that took in excess of 2 hours. The previous time a few weeks ago felt bad, with over 45 minutes wait for food, but we presumed it was a one-off. Reading another review on Google suggests they've got a serious man-management issue going on. Historically, this place has been exceptional efficient, with good value food, and good service. The waitress tonight was still pleasant, although I wish she could tell us the truth that was obvious to see, and did try to resolve it with a discount without being asked. The food was still good, so worth an extra star for this, but when your main reason for being is to serve food, being this slow is fundamentally poor. Unfortunately we cannot risk going here again now with our children: they cannot be expected to wait this long sat down at a table being good.

Great breakfast cooked quite well and served quickly. Buffet was good with good selection of pastries and cereals. Best coffee from a machine, but quite a queue as only 1 machine. Staff excellent, service quick and friendly despite being quite busy.

This is based over a week of staying at the next door hotel and dining here for a week. Breakfast is a decent option of continental and hot foods. The option for a full English breakfast is available and you do not need to get all parts which is nice. Some days the yogurt and fruit was not on ice which have cause for concern in regards to food poisoning. I highly recommend the breakfast. If you have kids take advantage of the kids eat free deal. Dinner is just as good. The ribeye is cooked per order and was exactly how I requested it the both times I ordered it. Chips were a little undercooked but not too much where you could not eat them. On the Sunday the restaurant would stop taking orders at 8 but then they refused to let anyone go eat in the restaurant at 7pm which is not great for business. We were told by the hotel they would be open and they had also been given wrong information which got resolved and we thankfully got to eat. Food was good as normal. The furniture in some spots could do with repair as it's badly damaged which isn't pleasing on the eye. The decor is starting to look outdated in some places. During some service it can be hard to get a server to come back to your table if you need anything else and most likely will need to flag them down. They do like to talk among themselves instead of checking in on guests. Overall a good place to get a decent meal and would come back for breakfast or dinner

The eatery is losing customers... I was deeply disappointed with last night's dining experience. The ribeye was extremely dry, overcooked, and lacked freshness, which was not consistent with the quality I experienced previously. Additionally, my son’s Kids’ Meal was inadequate, consisting of only three pieces of corn, and the burger was unacceptably dry, served without any ketchup.

The food is lovely, the service nearly non existent. Sat down waiting 30 minutes before our order was taken. It was not busy 4 tables eating. Plates were not cleared when we finished. Never got asked if we would like another drink or order deserts . We gad to go and find the waiter to ask. Been in a few times now and whether it's busy or not , the service is shocking. I think they would benefit from offering the staff some training.

Beautiful food, my partner had a stack I went for surf and turf... Very nice.... They was a little under staffed due to ill staff,,, it was a Friday night! The young lady that seated us made us welcome and explained their situation...... We only waited 15 to order food was their in ample time and cooked to perfection...... Worthy of a visit if your in the area.

Convenient location. Reasonable prices for food & drink. Only had one meal there, so it's hard to judge, but my main meal was partly overcooked, so it was dry and a bit tasteless. Starters were really good though. Service was quick and friendly.

Awful place. Breakfast 15 Oct 2022 was a shambles. They messed up all the orders, and a couple waited over 1 hour for theirs, even though 3 later arrival tables had been fed and left. Dirty plates by the toast. Dirty cups. Cold scrambled eggs. They put us (10 adult persons, members of our band and crew) into a booth style table and the guy on duty became very cocky, abrupt and arrogant, when we nicely asked to move (6 out of the 10 of us would have to keep moving in and out of our seats when others got up to get their coffee, toast, juice, cereals, etc). Everyone complained of his attitude. He even acted like some of our members had not paid and were trying to get a free breakfast before I arrived, even though they gave their room numbers. I had receipts for all 10. The ladies were very sweet and they are the reason I put any stars at all (they were both so lovely and helpful), and one of them set up 3 tables for us, with gaps in-between, so everyone could get up and down without issues). Booked as part of a 10 person stay at te attached Premier Inn. Will eat elsewhere next time.
