   I liked the atmosphere here, the layout of the pub was difficult levels and little alcove type seating. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when it came to choosing a type of red wine we hadn't tried before, they brought us some small samples to try before deciding. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. when it did arrive it was well presented and hot. All in all a very pleasant evening

   A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.

   The Horton has always been a 'safe go-to for good food' ... and the staff are lovely and are what make this place so welcoming. We recently went and couldn't find any of the usual choices on the menu....such as the Trio of burgers, Beef burger, Pizza, Munch Mugs etc, which have slowly been faded out over the last year or two. Nothing else stood out for sharing, and some dishes such as the rice salmon dish at £20 seemed expensive for a light lunch...especially when you can get a similar dish at Wagamama's in Manchester for £15.20. Hopefully, at our next get-together, we will see more snacking or sharing options for our group. As already mentioned, great pub 5*, great staff 5*, Food choice/menu 3* for our group.

   First visit to the Horton Arms today and I wasn’t disappointed .Lovely, cosy pub- great menu with lots of choice and the food was delicious. What really struck me were the staff -every one of them were really pleasant, helpful and attentive. A gem of a place which I would wholeheartedly recommend.

   Absolutely loved our visit to the Horton Arms this week. Atmosphere was great, brilliant selection of drinks and the food was too class. Staff were super attentive even though they were super busy. Definitely be back again!

   Lovely food, very delicious cheese and onion pie. Staff friendly, service good, really nice interior, very welcoming. Just a bit drafty where we were sat as it was near the door, otherwise great choice.

   Sunday roast. Just ok. The menu stated glazed/mustard carrots, they were just plain boiled and undercooked. I had to ask for the missing parsnips which were also much too al dente. However the person on the next table looked to have parsnips cooked to perfection.
