Belul is truly a gem! The food is absolutely delicious, authentic, and full of rich flavors that bring the real taste of Habesha culture to life. The injera is soft and fresh, the stews are perfectly spiced, and every dish feels homemade with love. The hospitality is perfect, warm, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend Belul to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable dining experience!

Delicious wide range of real Ethiopian food, friendly service, seemed to be family-run and the atmosphere felt homely and welcoming. Enjoyed the beer and tej too!

Wanted to try this place after seeing it recommended online. We came for lunch, the place was very quiet with only one table apart from us. We decided to try some of the “famous” dishes from the menu, which we were really satisfied with. The food was tasty, and something you don’t try every day. I think it was well made and it tasted really authentic. Recommended.

My son is at Manchester University. We took him out for their celebration meal. It was amazing. Great value. Tasty. We couldn't eat it all. They were very welcoming. Would go again.

This delicious, fresh and different restaurant is a must for those with any adventure in their taste buds. The aroma of the cooking gets your juices flowing as soon as you walk in. The staff are lovely, friendly, helpful and patient. Try the House special as it is 14, yes 14, dishes of the zestiest, tastiest mixture of spicy, hot, not so hot, delicate, tart and fresh, healthy chicken, lamb, beef and vegetable dishes served on the amazing injera bread which you use as cutlery. It soaks up so much flavour you could eat it on its own and be satisfied. The menu is full of great choices if you know your Ethiopian and Eritrean food. There is a large range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. The Eritrean coffee ceremony is amazing. Beautiful coffee that is roasted fresh and the beans are brought out for you to savour the aroma as they sizzle in their pan roasting. The pot is exquisite and lasts for ages, no need for sugar or milk as it is so tasty and it is accompanied by the best popcorn I’ve ever tasted, not too sweet, not too salty and proper crunchy. We were treated to the Eritrean honey wine, Messa/Tej I think, by the proprietor and it is wonderful. Like mead with a twist and very potent. Many thanks for the experience all round. Very good value as well, mains from £6. Good food, good music, good people, good times. It would be a great place for a party for sure. Definitely going back next time I’m in Manchester. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed. Cheers.
