Fish visit here for food on a very busy Saturday lunch ( the village christmas market was on that day so was very busy) we were all party of 4. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the food. It ranged from just OK ( pie with mash) to not great ( fish and chips...greasy batter, generic frozen chips) to pretty bad..( buffalo chicken sandwich..bread that crumbled when I picked it up.I think it had been defrosted, dry chicken and hardly any sauce..tasteless) it was also quite expensive for the quality.... the service was good, looked after by some lovely ladies, and it's a lovely pub for a drink. Dog friendly and a nice atmosphere. As this was a treat off our friends I did not complain but unfortunately I will not be back for food.

I must have driven past this place a thousand times, and had never considered sitting down to eat, as it looks nothing much from outside, but then I was invited for lunch here. The food was amazing, and the staff warm and welcoming. All in all a really pleasant surprise. I'll be going back for sure!

Absolutely love this place. We've had so many great meals here from the regular menu and the many specials they do. The Sunday roast is amazing. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming. Highly recommended. Been again today and the food was as incredible as ever but just a warning, the drinks prices have gone up! £36 for a bottle of fizz and £11 for a large glass of wine is very expensive. Our Wednesday lunch for 2 would have been over £90 without the 20% discount, but was still £73. For 2 courses and 1 dessert plus drinks it was quite a dear do, but can't fault the food and service.

What an amazing space to host a business event. The team are business minded themselves and their attention to detail is mind blowing. Great hosts, a wonderful private space and the best breakfast butties you could wish for…we’ll be lingering for lunch too next time. They were also very helpful with people’s allergies and food preferences. No one felt left out.

We were a table of 10 wich included a 3 year old and a baby. Great food, fabulous service. Everyone was very friendly, especially our waitress Elli I think her name was. She went above and beyond! The food was lovely everyone enjoyed what they had, the roasts were amazing and the scotch egg starter was delicious. Thank we shall be returning.

We drove to the Red Lion for a Sunday roast, encouraged by the reviews. We were not disappointed, the food was great. We had lamb and vegetarian roast. They both came with cauliflower cheese. The Yorkshire puddings were perfectly balanced between soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. The portions were big so unfortunately we didn’t have space to try desserts. We were served by Amelia who was very friendly. Thank you for this nice Sunday experience.
