   The food was quite nice and I did enjoy it. I ordered the chicken shish and lamb kofte. However the service was not what I expected. We had about 4 different waiters, which normally would not be a problem, but the fact that they all were lacked customer service was disappointing. The atmosphere was ok as well, but tbh I just wanted to eat and get out of there I did not want to relax and enjoy the aesthetic.

   I’ve been a loyal customer of Istanbul Restaurant in Cheetham Hill for over 4 years, spending more than £100 a week through Uber Eats and collections. I never thought I’d be leaving a 1-star review, but I feel I have no choice after how I was treated recently. The food is generally good, and in all those years, I’ve only ever had to raise two or three small complaints. Once, the chips with lamb chops were cold, oily, and soggy (I even have a photo of this), another time a no-spice wrap came with chilli sauce, and one occasion the shawarma was dry. These are minor issues that I addressed politely. However, my most recent experience on 24th September at 8:52 PM was unacceptable. I ordered a chicken shish wrap, but it was dry and clearly not up to the usual standard. When I raised the issue politely, the manager became rude, dismissive, and even shouted at me in front of other customers. He accused me of "always complaining" and refused to remake the wrap. Instead, he told me I wasn’t allowed to order it again and had to choose something else. I felt humiliated, embarrassed, and pressured into picking something I didn’t want. To make matters worse, I strongly believe the chicken wrap wasn’t even made by the main chef — it was prepared by someone who usually just handles packing. When I mentioned this, the manager still refused to acknowledge the mistake. Ironically, when I finally agreed to order a lamb shish wrap, he called the main chef to prepare it properly. So clearly, they knew the first one wasn't right. I kindly request that the owner reviews the CCTV footage from 8:52 PM on 24th September to see how poorly I was treated. After years of loyalty, I expected better. The food might be decent most of the time, but no one deserves to be spoken to like that, especially in public

   We had a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Turkish flavors. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. We came to celebrate my mum’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond by singing happy birthday and making the occasion extra special. We loved every moment highly recommend! Thank you

   Had a swell time here with family weeks ago, love the ambience, the food was indeed tasty, they have varieties you can choose from and you got value for the pricing here, liked the lamb most especially, there’s usually a complimentary drink on the house, found this to be thoughtful of them. Sarah was very helpful throughout our stay here, from choosing our meal and overall experience, this is definitely how customer service should be rendered, her colleagues were also great in handling our request. Up there as one of the best Turkish restaurant in Manchester. Will definitely come back.

   Visited 04/03/2022, clean and airy space, very attentive and friendly staff. As part of the platter I personally loved the crispy thin pieces of lamb and chicken (almost like a donner done on a flat plate, lovely!). The tasty starter Turkish bread you get can fill up quite quickly as it’s made fresh and tastes amazing and with the various dips is a course in itself. One of our party had an allergy and the staff were accommodating with ensuring the meal came without the ingredient they were allergic to. Parking in the area is a little difficult so be prepared to park a little bit away and walk as it’s in the main road (unless you get dropped off/picked up). This is definitely one of those places to go back to, and the jumbo platter looks from the picture not much but the depth to it is huge and luckily able to take the rest home to polish off is a win win ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   One of the best Turkish restaurant in the area. Beautiful seating hall. The seating area is very big but it was even on Wednesday afternoon. But we didn't have to wait. The food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are big. Other than Hummas everything was so delicious. I won't recommend Hummas from this place. Very friendly and polite staff. And service was fast as well. No dedicated parking

   My go to place at the moment for Turkish food. Really nice food at good prices with good customer service to match. The hot baklava dessert with ice cream is now my favorite dessert and I don't even like baklava. Would literally travel here for that dessert alone. Highly recommended.

   A lovely large and spacious Turkish restaurant. Came with my brothers from Manchester. The arrival wait was short and we were quickly allocated a table. Menu came quick and the waitress was very friendly. Starters came very quickly and our orders were taken quickly again by another friendly and polite waitress. We order a full platter with sides, cocktail drinks which arrived very fast and the food was beautifully presented, fresh, hot and tasty. Really enjoyed the food and drink. We ordered desert and I had a Sultac Turkish rice pudding desert. Was expecting it hot but came cold and told thats how it comes, regardless was yummy and tasty. Overall a great place, great space, buzzing with people and the food, drink and desert was excellent. Will come again soon on my next visit.
