Excellent service and very very lovely staff! We booked on last minute for our Christmas Do and all really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The prices were also spot on and the quality of food to match. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again ☺️
Had the £15.95 lunch special, and maybe I chose poorly, but I didn't love my starter or main sadly. I had the fried aubergines with panang sauce - the sauce was absolutely delish, I could have drunk it, but I found the batter on the aubergines to be really thick, bland and oily. For main I went for the stir fry thick flat noodles with veg - the selection of veg was excellent and they were super fresh, but again I found it bland and not super spicy (which was indicated on the menu). The curries my colleagues had looked good though, so I blame my choices! Good value though, and the staff were wonderfully friendly!
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The Soft Shell Crab with Chili & Holy Basil (£16.95) was extremely mushy and lacked flavor. The Mango Sticky Rice was even worse — the mango was of very poor quality and clearly not suitable to be served. When we raised this with the server, our request for a replacement was refused. Her explanation was: “We tasted it before serving and it was sweet, so it cannot be returned.” This kind of response is unacceptable. For the price charged, both the food quality and service were far below expectations. I will not be coming back, and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Tried Try Thai today in Manchester. Ordered two dishes from the lunch menu: Thai salad and the stir-fried chilli & holy basil with chicken. The spice was great, almost like in Thailand. Portions felt a bit small for the price, but the service was friendly and the location is very convenient. However, a service charge was added to the bill without asking, which I really don’t think is okay, it should at least be mentioned or confirmed before.
Try Thai has been my favourite restaurant for many years. The food is always absolutely gorgeous. If you like spicy food, I personally recommend soft shell crab with chilli and holy basil. Accompany it with sticky rice and you’ll feel like you’re in heaven. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The lunch time menu is spot on for value, taste and experience too. The staff were very courteous. The food was amazing and tasty. Will definitely go again. £12 for a 3 course meal at lunch time.
Love this place!! Great good, nice and hot, Authentic!! Had pork, seafood soup, spring rolls for starters Spicy curry noodles, rice. Amazing seafood tastes so fresh! Definitely come again! Nice clean place
One of the best meals I've had in Manchester. Superb Thai food. Loved the battered scallops and coriander Beef, crispy pork with papaya salad also delicious. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended
Disappointing. Not really a Thai restaurant. It is only a blended English-Thai restaurant The curry is sweet which you don’t expect that in real Thai food. The soup should be somewhat similar to Tom Yum Kung soup but honestly it is a sweet and sour soup add with a bit spicy sauce. If you think it is a Thai restaurant, you will find very significant different when you go to Thailand once. The decor is great, which is the reason I give a three star.
