Had our Christmas do here on Friday. Staff were SO lovely and efficient, food was phenomenal. The vegan mushroom pie was excellent, plenty of extra gravy provided. Really nice night thank you.

We had our office Christmas do here on Friday 28th November. Me and my colleague arrived at around 6:30, we were not drunk at all (we had each had 2 glasses of wine and then walked to the venue for about half an hour). The bouncer on the door checked my ID but immediately became very confrontational with my colleague asking "how much have you had to drink?" and "where have you been tonight?" in a very condescending tone. She responded very coherently and politely and adhered to all his requests despite being spoken to very rudely. He continuously told her that she was too drunk to enter and every time I tried to calmly explain the situation he would cut me off and say "excuse me, i'm speaking to your friend, will you let me finish?" which was interesting as he was refusing to let my colleague speak in her own defence! I messaged my senior colleague who was already inside and she came out and told the bouncer we are here for our work event and could we please be let in - he insisted that we leave and "take a walk for half an hour to sober up" although everyone had repeatedly agreed that she was not drunk. When we returned he was still very rude and was smugly laughing at us - even after the half an hour detour he continued to argue and we had to speak to the manager before being let in. We were told this was for our own safety, which is ridiculous as we were completely sober by this point and were literally just going for a meal with our workplace! The whole thing was very humiliating and we ended up at the meal an hour late, which was very embarrassing as two young women in a corporate environment.

If the venue is nice and in the middle of Manchester, the food is not at the same level .. came for a black tie event and find it very disapointing to end up with a chicken burger made of chicken.. and bread.. with some weird sauces. Would recommend for a drink but nit for a meal.

Didn’t have food. Amazing atmosphere, we sat outside listening to the live music. Very busy so ordered table service on the QR code this was great speedy delivery of drinks . Fantastic vibe!!!

Amazing Sunday roast! We had the mushroom wellington (vegan), in a great atmosphere: sunny day and live music.

Good outside sitting area. Delicious food. No great beer options (and most were off). Bit expensive.

I've been here a few times and I've always been shocked by the price of their beers, especially for usually having traditional and well known craft beers, it definitely has plenty of seating although it's also often quite busy as well.

I visited again yesterday and it was different to how I remember it, at this point I'm not sure if the changes are good changes. I wasn't overly impressed with the food I ordered but the menu had a good range of dishes to try. I still love the outdoor space but again this had a different feel to it. It was just OK.

Great place in the heart of Manchester. The atmosphere here can't be beaten on any day of the week. The drinks and food are both really good. They often have live music and the outdoor seating area is amazing with great decorations. If you're looking to chill out with friends and have a good drink, this is the place to be.
