“My first time at Everyman and I was blown away by the fantastic customer service. As soon as we arrived we were wonderful greeted and shown a table before we waited for the screen to be open. A lovely guy with a beard and glasses came and sat to take our order - I couldn’t get over how incredibly friendly and polite he was. The service was worth every penny and the food was delicious.”
“Better than the one in London. You can get up close and it's not in the middle of the road. Really nice place to reflect and pay respect to our heroes.”
“Stayed just the one night but you could easily stay here for a few days. The room we had was on the 19th floor so super quiet without any noise from outside. Top quality SMEG appliances. Kettle, toaster, hot plate and microwave plus dishwasher. They also have a laundry department which you can use for longer stays. Lovely bed linen and comfortable bed. Just loved the rain shower which was powerful and as hot as you wanted it to be. Gorgeous bathroom products too. Just a perfect quick overnight but you could base yourself here if you had to work in Manchester for a few days.”
“I came for a ski boot fitting today and was seen promptly by George who introduced himself to us and explained the process. George was absolutely brilliant from start to finish - he was incredibly knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. In addition to the boots he gave me excellent advice on clothing. It was a really great positive experience and I can wholeheartedly recommend George and the team at Ellis Brigham.”
“Very, very good venue. The quayside theatre is very small and intimate, but holds a good crowd. We were there to see the "Ideal" stage show (which was absolutely brilliant) and it was a great trip. Two minor issues were that it was unclear when the doors would open, leaving quite a few people like us standing outside in rain and wind, which was not Ideal (see what I did there) Also the toilet roll dispensers are utterly dreadful, where you have to try and pull it out of a very tight opening and it invariably tears close to the holder. You know the ones I'm talking about... The rosé wine is delightful...”
“My Visit to the Opera House Manchester My visit to the Opera House Manchester was an unforgettable cultural experience. This historic theatre, opened in 1912, is one of Manchester’s most elegant and iconic performance venues. With its beautifully restored Edwardian architecture, plush seating, and grand interior, it offers the perfect setting for musicals, concerts, ballets, and drama performances. The atmosphere inside was vibrant and welcoming. The acoustics were excellent, and the staff were friendly and well-organized, ensuring a smooth entry and interval experience. The show I attended was brilliantly produced — a true reflection of Manchester’s rich performing arts scene. Visitor Tips: Book tickets in advance through the ATG Tickets website for the best seats. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to enjoy the lobby and grab a drink at the theatre bar. Photography is usually not allowed during shows, so plan to enjoy the performance fully. How to Reach: The Opera House is located on Quay Street, Manchester M3 3HP, near Deansgate. It’s easily accessible by tram (St. Peter’s Square or Deansgate-Castlefield stops), bus, or a 10-minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road Station. There are also several parking options nearby, including Spinningfields Car Park. A visit to the Opera House is a must for anyone who loves theatre, music, and Manchester’s timeless charm — a perfect evening of culture and entertainment.”
“This was our first time staying at the Edwardian Manchester, and we were so impressed from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and professional, making us feel right at home the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is stunning beautifully designed, spotless, and with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of choice and great quality. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the city, and we really appreciated the little touches that made our stay feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are already looking forward to coming back!”
“The apartment was very clean, facilities were fantastic as was the whole hotel, the staff on reception were always cheerful and pleased to see you. Location was exactly what we wanted as we arrived by train, the city centre was five minutes away by foot.”
“Watched The Lion King at the Palace Theatre and it was absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere in the theatre itself is grand and historic, with great acoustics and comfortable seating. The performance was world-class, from the costumes and stage design to the music, everything was magical and immersive. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience felt smooth and well-organised. Truly one of those shows that stays with you long after the curtain falls. Highly recommend both the venue and the production!”
“Had our Christmas do here on Friday. Staff were SO lovely and efficient, food was phenomenal. The vegan mushroom pie was excellent, plenty of extra gravy provided. Really nice night thank you.”
“Had a lovely stay here for a work conference. The staff were lovely, extremely helpful and the food served was good too. I asked a gentleman that worked there if he knew where my room was and he very kindly walked me to the floor I was on and directed me. Would definitely stay here again.”
“I had a great stay at Yotel Deansgate earlier this week. The room was comfortable, stylish and clean. Semiat and colleagues were very helpful throughout. I had an amazing set menu meal at Motley restaurant. 2 courses and a pint for under £20. incredible! Will definitely be back.”
“My stay at the Townhouse Hotel Manchester was truly wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was easy and fast, and the team made sure I felt comfortable right away. The room was clean, stylish, and very spacious, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially loved the modern bathroom and the little touches that made the space feel premium and inviting. The hotel’s atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, creating a perfect balance for both leisure and business travelers. The location is another huge highlight right in the heart of Manchester, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Despite being in the city centre, the room was peaceful and quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Overall, the Townhouse Hotel exceeded my expectations. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Manchester.”
“Always worth a visit. The staff are welcoming, the drinks menu offers a great selection, and the club has a premium feel compared to others in Manchester. The dancers are professional, friendly, and respectful, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I’ve had many memorable nights here, particularly with Rosey and Angel, who always make the experience feel extra special.”
“Can't fault it for what you pay. We paid £66 per double room and booked 2. My wife, children and I had an overnight stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff where lovely, restaurant area was really nice, building itself from the outside is nice. Yes some bits are maybe a bit dated but what are you expecting for £66 a room.”
“It is a 2-star hotel with shared toilet and it did the job perfectly! Don't imagine it as a 5-star hotel. The room, hard floor, bed sheet and towel are reasonably fresh and clean. Perfectly warm with a radiator and an extra heater. Not super comfy but warm duvet. The staff Dan was warm and nice, even arranging a better room for me. There was also a microwave. I stayed on a Monday night which I think it wasn't full. The bathrooms were clean, dry and bright without any damp smell. It was perfect for me to just spend the night for a few hours. Will definitely stay here again with this budget! The only problem might probably be the sound-proofing. Bring a pair of ear plugs if you are not a deep sleeper.”
“Good central secure space. Would use again.”
“Another wonderful stay at the beautiful Rushop Hall this Easter holidays. We'd previously stayed here twice before in the bedrooms above the dining area of which both rooms were relaxing, comfortable and beautifully decorated. This time we'd decided to try the Pepper Pot, and we were blown away with the high standard. Particularly the attention to detail of this little cottage and the sheer comfort it provided us for our two night stay. Jan & Neil are amazing hosts, and provide you with exceptional customer service. Which has the right balance of being very welcoming but allowing you, your personal space-Really love this about them. Nothing is never too much trouble, so please ask them! Breakfast is delicious and beautifully cooked. Loved the additional fresh fruit & yogurt etc. Location is perfect, remote and relaxing with stunning views. Perfect surroundings for a wonderful nights sleep and of course beautiful views to wake up to in the morning. Thank you for making our stay just as delightful as it was 7 years ago. It's really refreshing to see that your high standards of service remain. We'll definitely be back next year. Hazel & Steve Milford”
“The Ayckbourn play was enjoyable, well versed with great players. Thoroughly enjoyed the night. The staff are friendly and accommodating.”
“Wonderful, modern theatre with comfortable seats, lovely clean lavatories,a well stocked bar and great volunteer helpers.”
“A perfect representation of community theatre and all that it embodies. A truly valued asset that is kept vibrant, modern and popular by all that support and maintain the building. Accessibility is great and cares for its older members. A centre point for home grown, natured talent that is of a professional standard in all aspects of theatre from stage, performance, lighting and backstage. I encourage all to visit, support in any way you can. A real jewel nestled in the High Peak.”
“First time I attended a concert (Howard Jones)here. Acoustics were fabulous and I found the staff to be very professional and courteous. Thank you for making the night even more memorable.”
“Quirky little theatre in the round. We saw Singing in the Rain which was amazing, with real rain! Excellent performance in a unique venue.”
“Come one lunchtime (Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday in term time) to the carol Nash hall to enjoy competent students from Chethams music school. Tickets (free) available on line. There’s soup and a roll available in the foyer for £3.50 in a cup. The music will be classical and perhaps be unknown to some but it’s marvellous to sit in a comfortable modern space. I’ve never so far, been to an evening concert there but intend to now. It’s very handy for Victoria train/ tram station.”
“Lovely place to hang out..such good vibes! Enjoyed the vegan pizza pocket n juice!”
“Great irregular venue,...different from everywhere else, but good sound”
“Went to watch Cinderella over the Christmas period. The cast were brilliant and the script very well written. As others have mentioned, the ugly sisters were the stars of the show with lots of interaction with the audience. Overall, very good value for money on the initial purchasing of tickets and what the play delivered. I wasn't sure on the parking arrangements and it appears limited where you can park but there were some spaces behind and around the row of shops. We caught the bus to the local precinct and walked the 10 minutes so that is a viable option. The venue itself has food and drink on sale that is very reasonably priced and you can pay both with cash and card. It is a small venue that until recently I did not know even existed. It's intimate and seating, while seen better days, was adequate and even after the near 3 hours being there, was not feeling uncomfortable. Overall, an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon with family”
