We first stayed at this hotel in March 2025 and absolutely loved it, so we booked again for two nights (1st–3rd December). When we arrived, the staff were just as lovely as we remembered. We were even given the option to choose between floor 3 or 4, and we decided on the 4th. When we got to the room, it was clean and very nice, but it wasn’t the same style as the room we had on our first visit. We had really come back for that exact cosy vibe from before. We couldn’t remember the floor or room number, but I went down to reception to ask if there was any chance of getting something similar. The lady at reception was amazing — she happily showed me all the available rooms and let me pick the one I preferred. I’m forever grateful because she went above and beyond to help. I personally love the rooms with the low wooden ceilings and small windows, but they have lots of different styles to choose from. We also booked breakfast again, which was buffet style with plenty of options, and we enjoyed it just as much as last time. Overall, another great stay with absolutely brilliant staff. We’ll definitely be returning!

Lovely hotel, unfortunately the pillows were not to our liking as they provided no support for our necks- choose of alternative pillows in the room would have been welcome. Also the lighting in the room wasn’t ideal as we only had one spot light above the door and the lamps next to the bed so when we came back to the room late at night it was really hard to see anything in the room because it was so dark. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options, the hostess on Sunday morning was really polite and always had a smile. Great location as well.

Had a lovely stay here for a work conference. The staff were lovely, extremely helpful and the food served was good too. I asked a gentleman that worked there if he knew where my room was and he very kindly walked me to the floor I was on and directed me. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a night to cover us while we saw a show at the Aviva centre. We had a room over the river, it was very clean, cosy and modern. The aesthetic of the hotel is lovely, with a lot of brick and exposed features from the 's past. The staff were nice and helped us with a parking issue. We would stay here again for sure.

We stayed at the Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like cookies, tea bags, coffee powder, and bottled water. Housekeeping did a great job — the room was cleaned daily, and towels were replaced regularly, which made our stay even more pleasant. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. On a rainy day, they even offered us umbrellas, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was a real highlight — a sumptuous spread with a wide range of options including sausages, scrambled and fried eggs, omelets, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, smoked salmon, fresh fruits, salads, juices, yogurts, milk, various breads, muffins, cereals, croissants, Danish pastries, tea, and coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious. The location is excellent, within easy reach of major attractions and transport. From the airport, you can take a train to Manchester Piccadilly Station, then hop on the free bus (Route 1 or 2) and get off near the Opera House — the hotel is just a short walk straight ahead from there. Overall, the Marriott Victoria & Albert is a perfect choice for families looking for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality in the heart of Manchester. Highly recommended!

Stayed for one night for a weekend getaway. It was a very nice hotel - as a Marriott bonvoy member, they upgraded us on arrival which was great. The room was very nice and the bathroom was great and spacious with a massive shower. The bed was very comfortable. The location was very cute next to the canal, but about a 10 minute walk to where everything is at in Manchester so just aware of that. Wish we would have had a meal at the bar as it looked like a good place to eat. Would recommend if you don’t mind being a bit out of the main drag!

I stayed here for two nights. All staff helpful and friendly. I went with bed and breakfast and glad I did as all food fresh and tasty. I had a decaff latte and it was delicious. I decided to leave early on my last day and the evening before asked if they could get me a few bananas for breakfast. I came down in the morning and my breakfast was double bagged. Two waters, ham and cheese sandwich, 2 small cakes, protein bar, big chocolate cookie, banana and a nice crisp geen apple. This breakfast was made with care and thought and was exactly what I needed but didn't dream of getting. Staff fab and well run hotel. Thanks front desk and apologies to the house keeper who jumped out of her skin (and me too) when we bumped into each other in the corridor!

Stayed for 1 night as early Christmas present for my mum...trip to Manchester, markets, meal and theatre to see The Lion King. Sara(h) on reception was really lovely, professional, helpful, smiley and friendly. Room was a good size, comfy bed, great shower and side on view of canal. Tea and coffee available, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. This Works toiletries is a nice touch. Paid for breakfast in the morning - great selection, both on the continental and breakfast buffet sections. Also great yo have done cook to order options like the vegetarian and vegan breakfasts, omelettes, poached eggs etc. Only 15 mins walk to St Peter's Square so great as a base.

Spent a night here. Hotel was decent and comfortable. Slightly ruined (2 months later) though by a parking fine. We called the hotel prior about disabled parking. We had our disability badges on display and I put my reg into the tablet on the reception desk. When I called the hotel about the parking fine though they said there was no record of my vehicle. So a £100 fine on top of the room. Nice one! Won't be booking here again.

Stayed here for the weekend for my birthday. Lovely, clean hotel & good breakfast. Shops are all a good walking distance, you can pretty much walk everywhere. Parking is easy and simple too!
