   If Google would let me give 10 stars, I honestly would! What an epic meal we had by Chef Max Castaldo, celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Everything exceeded expectations, starting from the friendliness, and kindness, and extending to the wonderfully colorful and tasty dishes, the mind-blowing flavours, and excellent quality of ingredients and combinations! I was particularly impressed with the tofu pockets (Inari Salmon), as I'm not a huge fan of tofu normally, but it was executed to perfection and tasted SO GREAT, it may have been my fav dish! The Unagi Roll was also incredibly delicious, and the Hamachi and Miso Alioli was very refreshing and exciting! Wow, wow, wow! We actually haven't had sushi for over a year now since first lockdown, and super glad we found Komakai locally, an incredible gem and so worth the wait! Will have to start looking for more excuses, i mean, occasions, to order more! Thank you Chef Max!!

   I am still wondering how is possible that komakai can deliver such an outstanding quality being a take away sushi business. Yes, you read correctly. We all know that sushi is not cheap. We also know that it is pretty hard to find a trustable sushi bar/restaurant. In London or where ever... I know about fish quality because my parents are fishmongers in Barcelona (enough said). And when you think your found one pretty acceptable then the bill arrives to the table and the price do not match with the quality delivered. That has been my main surprise with komakai. If you had this sushi served in a restaurant, the bill will be over £200 for 2 people’s dinner. Yes, £200! Please don’t take my advice for granted. Give it a go and you will be as pleasantly surprised as me. If you are lucky enough to live in south east London (or making a big enough order and further delivery can be considered) try Komakai. Check the pics in Instagram (komakaisushilondon) they speak by them self. Check my pics taken at home. Even my cat (Neo) realised about it! Bon appetite!!

   2020 hasn't been a great year for restaurants (ain't that an understatement) but if you want an outstanding sushi experience at home then you really must try Komakai. You won't find better sushi in London. Seriously. Great quality ingredients and clearly a talented chef. If you're missing those nights out in London then definitely give Komakai a go. Can't recommend highly enough. 5 stars
