We ordered as a takeout and were so so so disappointed. Unsure if it was just busy but it was disgusting. The chips were rock solid, chutney missing, my spicy poppadoms were black and burnt. Will not be ordering again and disappointed I won’t get my money back!
As someone who usually visits Gatley Tandoori as an Uber Eats driver, I’ve always been curious about the food. The place is constantly busy, the aromas are mouthwatering, and everything looks genuinely authentic. A big shoutout to Jamil, who’s always been super friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about the food and the restaurant itself. About two weeks ago, I finally decided to order for myself and two friends—and wow, it did not disappoint! We had a selection of dishes including a rich dopiaza curry, paneer, garlic chicken, special rice, and some naan breads. Everything was cooked to perfection: flavourful, balanced, and not overloaded with oil. Jamil even threw in some extra poppadoms and a side of pakora, which was such a nice touch and really made the experience feel special. Their mango lassi is also top-tier, refreshing and creamy, the perfect complement to the meal. The fact that they’ve been operating for over two decades, as Jamil mentioned, really shows in the quality and consistency of their food. It’s way above your average takeaway, and the pricing is very reasonable for what you get.
Gatley Tandoori Restaurant which is next door and separate to it's Takeaway. I visited for a family birthday celebration. Parking was on the street unfortunately some people had a walik. The restaurant doesn't have a alcohol licence but a supermarket and off licence are close by, the restaurant has information about them post on a wall. A number of children were present at our function and they were catered for. The staff were very polite and accommodating even with the children. A birthday cake was presented to the guest of honour. I can't testify as to whether or not the property is adequately wheelchair accessible as I'm not wheelchair bound but I can add that they do have disability toilet facilities grab bars and handrails etc. Hot & cold water was available (I've been to properties that don't have hot water). The property was clean and and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the vegetarian or dietary options. A Good time was had by all.
Not been for a while but we were glad to revisit. The food was outstanding, Curry’s were tasty and mixed grill was cooked to perfection. I wasn’t charged anything to bring my own alcohol which is a great gesture and the chips taste like homemade ones. The service was also excellent.

The family used to love this takeaway however the last few times the food has been bright red with food dye and had a vinegar type taste. Perhaps it's a new chef as it used to be top notch but we've had a few meals that haven't been good at all recently. Willing to re review at later date.

The best Indian food in the area. Great service and consistently great food. Plus, for those that like to watch the football whilst eating, they show the football too. For those that don't want to watch the football, there is the new extension so you can avoid it. What more could you ask for?
All the staff in the restaurant were really helpful and friendly. All the food is cooked fresh and you can really taste the difference from your average tandoori. Make sure you get a naan bread cooked in their authentic clay oven
