I went to davinci and the food there was okay when I first ate it,I had a fried turkey and beef suya. The next day unexpectedly me and several other members of my family had serious diarrhoea. It involved each of us going to the toilet multiple times and feeling a sensation in the stomach.I was shocked because I didn’t wake up at my usual time because of how the food affected. I feel absolutely mugged off and as if I payed for Nonsense.Personally I wouldn’t suggest because me and the whole family felt horrible.

Came to manchester from london and ordered pounded yam and oha soup. As soon as I tasted the soup it felt like been transported back to the village. I could taste the home cooking in every bite. Atmosphere was good. The host was friendly and in my view one of the best African restaurants I have visited.

We came to spend the weekend in Manchester, a friend recommended here for us, and we must say that we are glad. The ambiance of the restaurant is what you first notice - lighting, cleanliness, and general decor, and it’s impressive. Even though Glory isn’t a fan of dark decor and ambiance, it was impressive enough that she appreciated the effort. Service was polite and friendly. The food itself was the star of the show; tasted homely and traditional (as much as is possible for a restaurant), and portions were generous and perfect for us, altogether rounding up a very pleasant and satisfying night for us in Manchester. We hope to be back!

I have tried almost every food at Da Vinchi and have never been disappointed. Edika Ikong (my favourite), Afang, Nkwobi, Isiewu, Suya, grilled fish, and the list goes on and on. God bless the team at the kitchen cooking these fantastic meals. I want to also appreciate the owner who is always present, making sure customers are taken care of.

If I could give this restaurant a “-5” I definitely would. We ordered food worth £60 just 2 days ago and not only were the portions disgustingly small for the price but they included nothing that we ordered in the soup….there was no beef or traces of beef, the soups were full of “Saki” and “Abodi” and dried fish, at least if we would be served tiny portions for the price we paid, give us some Quality and something worth our money’s worth. I came on here and I saw the reply that the so called owner of this restaurant gave to a customer, very appalling and rude indeed. Before he decides to ban me from the restaurant as well, I’m never stepping my feet into this restaurant again anyways.

A friend recommended this particular shop after I was craving African food. The food taste is okay to me, I was going to write a review and complain about how pricy it is for a little portion, then I went through your reviews n replies and I’m appalled, A customer says the food wasn’t good. It’s not enough to write them off, you forget people have diff taste buds, I also read in 1 of your reviews that you going to ban a customer “ Nigerians and stupid entitlement”. Like were you hoping the customer comes back on her knees begging pls don’t ban me. I can’t live without your food????” Well mine is your food portions is small and how dare you charge £5 for a tail of Titus fish. And yet you complain you don’t have staffs but extort people with little or no food portion. Pls add me to your bad customer book cuz me I have banned myself wholeheartedly. Never recommending you guys not spending a penny in your shop.

Horrible customer service. I made a big order and went to pick it up at the shop, bare in mind I live 25 minutes away from the shop. I ordered 2 large fish, rice and stew, plantain and a tub of pepper . When I arrived at the shop I had to wait a very long time before being spoken to, while I was speaking to the only staff they had he was also assisting other customers at the same time when i approached him about this he would walk away mid sentence to speak to another customer. The tub of pepper that I ordered was not even 1/4 way full when I asked to put more the staff refused, which I found to be very unapologetic and greedy as I was paying for it.

Very bad customer service. Instead of you to take the reviews and corrections, you are here fighting with paying customers. If you like ban the whole world. Very rude man. If you can’t show common decent customer skills then you stay behind the kitchen, where no one has to witness your horrible attitude. The portion size is wicked ! We ordered assorted soup yesterday and it was full of shaki and abode!! Cheap meat!! NO beef what so ever, If I wanted to order abode soup I would have said so. For the price you guys are charging for small portions. You should be able to afford more staff. But you won’t because you are greedy. Better change your ways. Nonsense
