As you expect for airport food, overpriced cold food. Order off the children’s menu if you can portions seemed to be same from what I could see and much cheaper. Waiter who served us also didn’t bother giving us our change so don’t know what that’s about.

What a lovely find at the airport. They do great gluten-free pasta. Nice flavours. Atmosphere isn't rushed and service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Thank you.

We had breakfast at San Carlo before our trip to Lapland in December. The food was very nice and well presented and served to us in a good time. Our server, Kiko, was very friendly and attentive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant experience! So used to airport food & drinks being overpriced, over busy and understaffed. Not here. The food was excellent, generous too, wine really lovely but the best part are the staff. Sylvia looked after me and was particularly fantastic. If only all airport establishments could be like this! Very well done ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a fantastic experience at San Carlo! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was lively yet elegant, making it the perfect place for both a relaxed lunch and a special evening out. A special mention goes to Szilvia, who made our visit truly memorable. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional — nothing was too much trouble, and her recommendations were spot on. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality, and Szilvia really elevated the whole experience. I’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommend both the restaurant and the wonderful service!

Word of advice, form your own opinion. We would normally book to go in the exec lounge but it was fully booked. I had read reviews on San Carlos in terminal 2 and was seriously put off at first. However we decided to join the queue9 and give it a go. Yes we had to queue up, probably about 5 tables of people in front of us, but the que moved quickly. We was greeted by a lovely male member of staff who showed us to our table, and then soon greeted by our waiter, who was equally as lovely and pleasant. We ordered coffee, beer and a prosecco, and then ordered 1 eggs benadict and 1 scrambled egg on toast with a side of sausages. The food was served within about 10 minutes, it was well presented and hot. Absolutely nothing springs to mind that I could say was a let down. Yes it was busy, but its a popular restaurant, which looks appealing to sit, eat and drink in while waiting for your flight, so you've got to expect it to be busy. I'd be more worried about eating at San Carlos if it was empty! Thankfully I choose to ignore the negative comments and give it ago. Our bill came to £55 for the food as noted above, 1 coffee, 2 glasses of prosecco and 2 pints of corona.

A lovely restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and nice ambient music. I ordered porridge and black coffee, which came in at £8.30 — A price I thought was very reasonable. The waitresses were lovely, and the service was quick. I also did not feel rushed to finish my meal. The airport was quiet when I visited though, which may have helped :)

Food was lovely, and it is reasonably priced. However the staff really need to up their customer service skills. We arrived and it was extremely quiet, no queue to get in and tables mostly empty. There was no ‘please wait to be seated’ sign at the entrance, so we just walked in, to be told quite firmly by a member of staff at the bar that we needed to wait at the entrance to be seated. How were we supposed to know that when we’ve never been here before and there was no sign? So we queued, initially we only wanted some drinks, we got told by another member of staff, again rather rudely, that they can’t let us in if we weren’t ordering food, which we found weird as there were bar stools at the bar, so that didn’t make sense? So we came back later when we were hungry. Thankfully, the staff member that greeted us then was lovely. However it was clear to us whilst we were inside that the staff seem to be quite disorganised as well. Overall the restaurant is great in terms of food and the decor in the place is really pretty, but unfortunately the staff just ruined it for us. They need to be more professional, especially when it comes to how they speak to customers.
