I would have liked to have bought fish and chips today but it was closed even though the website said it was open from11.30 am. Wasted time hanging about outside then went elsewhere. Need to update you website so people don’t waste their time. Very disappointed
Fish and peas were great but the chips are very poor. No substance, fluffy and crumbly.Thought the other week it might be a 1 off but same again last Friday. Wondered if it was the potatoes and then saw the prepared bag coming out the fridge and being sliced open. Appreciate costs are high but for me chips have to be washed, chipped and fried fresh. Just not the same.
3 stars if fair. Great fish, and I sort of expect to pay £10 for fish chips and peas, but they need to give more chips. Turns out the chips are tasteless crap so I get it, doesn't help that the vinegar and salt either doesn't have enough vinegar and salt in it or they don't put enough on. Nice enough staff
This was my first visit to this chippy and it won't be my last. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and it's nice to see everything made fresh. The haddock and chips we had were delicious. The mild curry sauce was also very nice.
Mini fish, chips and a splash of peas! Probably the best chips I have ever had from a chippy. So tasty and a bargain at £5.20
Not sure atmosphere is a needed category for a chippy! Food is good though, flaky fish and crispy/fluffy chips. Only issue is that its cash only, which they didn't tell me til after I had ordered so then had to run for a cash machine.
Great steamed sea bass. Chips lovely. Always fresh. Good choices for gravy.
Not too bad. Small portions though. Cash only, will not accept card.
£3 for in reality a small portion of chips. £5.60 for a cod, that was overcooked again. Parents happy with their’s though, and the Irish curry sauce is excellent.
