The food was great, 10/10. However, the customer service was even better. Guy at the front gave us a drink each, on the house just because we were from London. He was very kind and polite. Would definitely recommend.

One of the very best Indian restaurants in the whole of Manchester. Authentic and all the dishes were extremely tasty. Portions also very big. Delicious.
This is an excellent curry restaurant with a fantastic variety of traditional and authentic dishes that even cater to kids. The staff are incredibly friendly and always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. While we don't dine in very often, it’s our go-to for Indian takeout. We typically order from here at least twice a month, and it never lets us down.
We had an amazing meal here. The food was delicious and presented fantastically. The service was very attentive but not overbearing. Can't believe it wasn't more busy, definitely don't miss this if you're in the area!
Used to be a regular here prior to the pandemic. Food wasn't amazing but consistent with good portions and the Sunday night meal 7 course meal deal was great. Staff have always been friendly and you could have a chat about football with the manager Amin who bizarrely is a Spurs fan! Every single takeaway I've had since the pandemic has been awful, inedible and ended up throwing it in the bin. I assume they've got a new cook. The vegetarian mains used to have a good variety of vegetables, now every veggie curry I've ordered has been 90% onion 10% potato. I love onion but who wants an onion curry! Despite asking for hot curries there has been no spice, no flavour and curry drowning in 1/2 inch of oli. Sad to see how bad the food has gone. Given them a lot of chances but won't be back.
Great meal tonight. We had chicken Karachi, Balti Exotica, Bombay potatoes and sundries. I always order something different and it honestly gets better every time. Staff are always super friendly and efficient. You really have to visit this place.
Not another rave review... Hell Yeah baby Our annual neighbours curry night and only one place to visit, yup Essence. The heart of all Rubies. As per usual, greeted with open arms and a welcome befit for a regular. Beers and girly drinks ordered and onto the Poppadoms Well looked after with great banter with Amin. Starter and Mains ordered, no rushing around to herd us us out, all done in fine time. But please, the food, hubba hubba. Absolutely awesome . No complaints (I mean, how can you complain with the quality of food you get here) what so ever. So looking forward to Christmas Day nose bag, because this is now traditional, non of your nonsense Turkey, give us a Ruby. Well done Amin and the team. You really do pull it out the bag every visit.
The absolute best Indian food you will ever taste. Staff can't do enough for you and are extremely friendly. Their dishes are varied and all absolutely delicious. They can all be cooked to your taste, do not miss out
