We have been loyal customers here for over 35 years, but sadly the quality has been declining for a while and tonight was the worst experience yet. The peas in the curry were hard and undercooked, the rice was excessively oily, and the chicken in the masala came in tiny, unappetising slivers. The balti had no real flavour at all. They are cutting every corner possible and the prices keep going up. When I raised this politely and privately with the owner, he responded defensively, making a scene in the restaurant in front of tables and insisting the food was βmeant to be like thatβ. Heβs a nice man but sorry to say, delusional. After years of eating here, I can say with certainty that the food quality and standards have slipped dramatically and the response after raising did not come close to addressing the poor quality of the food or the ruined evening which was actually meant to be a special occasion and went back here for nostalgia. This used to be one of our favourite local spots, but the experience is a real disappointment. Unless there are major improvements, we will sadly not be returning.

I have been pleased with this place on several occasions, having had a number of takeaways and the odd meal in the restaurant. Weβve always enjoyed the food. However, I wasnβt impressed on my last visit. Weβd ordered a takeaway for 6 people. When we got home my mumβs meal was missing. I rang to tell them and they said I could come back and they would have it ready, with a weak apology. I pointed out my meal would be going cold whilst I was making the return journey, to which I was told, βwe canβt remake the whole order mateβ. When I arrived, I was passed a bag with the missing meal only in it, as if I was just collecting a new order. No apology in person. No compensation of any sort offered. Had to reheat mine when I got home and me and my mum ate separately after everyone else had finished their meal. They didnβt seem to appreciate how their mistake had ruined our family get together. Not been back since.

We went here for nostalgic reasons. Food was ok, smaller portions than expected but not bad taste. We ordered food to eat in and took food out for our daughters. It just wasn't as nice as hoped or as we remembered. The keema naan was a joke, i opened it up to see the equivalent of a tea spoon of meat spread in it! I snapped a couple of pics before diving in, expecting to write a great review as it did look great. Unfortunately we won't be back.

It was my birthday. I travelled from bowness-on-windermere on my way home as it was just round the corner from my mother. Very friendly staff as well.

Decent mid week offer. Reasonably priced food. Drinks expensive. Food seemed to be kept heated on plates though rather than served fresh.

Quick visit with my daughter, the lone waiter was rude! His behaviour and attitude were just off. Also delivered my daughters lamb curry and he started spooning through the dish and looking at the contents, made it look like dog food. My daughter asked him what he was doing and very sarcastically said checking what meat it was! We then had the naan bread thrown on the table hitting my fork making it fly. Been before and never been unhappy with the food or service.
