Amazing place- huge portion, flavour filled dishes which taste authentic and at great prices. A really unassuming place, very humble but this is what restaurants should be - the food should do the talking and the decor shouldn’t distract. I’ll be coming back here soon! The service was really friendly and though small, most tables were occupied on a weekday night and it had a great cosy vibe.

This is now my second time coming here, the last time we came we tried more starters. This time round I ordered a pad Thai and yes it was fresh but I don’t feel like it was as nice as other businesses. I think I would only get the ‘chefs special peri peri chicken’ I’ve never tried anything like this and it’s a balanced healthier meal packed with huge amounts of flavour. The prices are so amazing and the service is great too. Whatever that creamy coconut spicy sauce is….. it’s genuinely one of the nicest things I’ve ever tried. I also tried the tri colour Thai tea which was nice but I think we ordered too much food the first time we went and so I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as it was really heavy, there were some kind of lentil in the drink. It was more like a dessert than a drink. This place is halal too which is amazing and gives Muslims a chance to try halal Thai/Hong Kong cuisine. I might try a Hong Kong dish next time as I feel I didn’t try anything from the Hong Kong selections.

Great small cafe style restaurant on the edge of the city centre. Great atmosphere. Arrived Sunday around 1 pm. Queue was about 6 deep but only had to wait 10 mins to be seated. Good service. Order taken quickly and food arrived fast. Diet cokes took a while to arrive though. Beef buns were tasty but very little filling for the size of bun. Chicken tapia grren curry was tasty. Pad Kra Pao was very tasty. Both mains were generous portion sized. A lot of dishes were made with chicken rather than the traditional pork. Would recommend a visit.

The staff were lovely—friendly and attentive. This restaurant is a hot one. However, to be honest, the food didn’t meet my expectations. The curry rice presentation was unappetizing, and the flavour didn’t live up to its reputation. The HK beef brisket and wanton noodles also fell flat, and the HK milk tea could use improvement. Sadly, it’s not worth the 45-minute drive for this visit.

As soon as I found out that I had a work meeting in city centre, I thought of Hong Thai for lunch. We used to go there regularly until COVID. I was actually quite excited to get my lunch from there. Menu has expanded to Hong Kong style street food since boss' husband is from HK. I ordered what we used to order which was Panang Curry Fish. Price has gone up but it's still a reasonable price at £8 in city centre. Big portion, came with egg rice and salad, and a drink. Lady boss was so friendly when she took the order and even asked if I needed a bag as it was a takeaway. I had to rush to catch a bus back to my workplace 30 minutes away. Meal was still hot. Food tasted how it used to be which was approved by my Malaysian husband. Delicious. Would definitely like to eat from there again if we're in city centre during lunchtime.

Nice food. Not really authentic but good enough. Customer service is really good and wait is average. Prices are decent. Worth a try.

Love this place, so tasty and great value. We ordered the fish penang curry and pad Thai, classic flavours, just the right level of spice with a good portion of meat and salad. £6.99 per dish with a drink. Highly recommended
