I started with poppadoms, which came with an excellent pickle tray. My partner and I shared the fish pakoras which were more batter and air than chunks of fish, and rather tasteless. My partner had tandoori king prawns which she said was one of the best dishes she had tasted. I however had Lamb Rogan josh, which was very bland and uninspiring. The garlic naan was similar in not tasting if garlic. The service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant but if this is the best curry house in Otley then I would be getting in my car. Sorry guys.

Had a lovely takeaway from here a few weeks ago nice and fresh, however just had another takeaway today and it was nowhere near satisfactory. The chips were old, hard and inedible. The chicken tikka masala was watery on top and thick underneath. Naans tasted old and chewy. Very disappointing especially because we expected something lovely to eat like last time.

We stumbled on the excellent value menu on a Wednesday evening. They have a banquet deal which is incredible value for money. Our group of 4 shared the food and every dish was good quality and really tasty. Everything tasted fresh and was spiced to our liking. The service provided by the young man who looked after us was much appreciated as well. Very much recommend The Red Pepper - especially after a couple of pints of Kirkstall Brewery’s 3 Swords in the Black Horse over the road. Thanks for a splendid evening.

It was a really enjoyable evening at the restaurant. The place was really busy, which reflected how popular it is. The service was friendly & helpful, taking our drinks order & then returning for the food order after we'd had time to view the menu. They explained any dishes that you were not familiar with. The food was excellent, hot, tender & well presented. There was a relaxed, chilled out atmosphere. Prices were reasonable, too.

Food poisoning, absolutely disgusting food and terrible service. I can’t stand this place and will never be coming back. I could write paragraphs about how bad our experience was today but you’re not living rent free in my head so I’ll summarise. Greasy, old, overcooked slop. Expensive drinks, abysmal service, argumentative, incompetent and horrible staff, worst food I’ve ever had. Would rather have ate the dead pigeon outside. Check the other reviews out for this place, it’s rank.

Bought a takeaway meal of Chicken Biryani and Chicken Korma with sides and it was utterly delicious. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. We’ll certainly become regulars!

Revolting! The oddest & oiliest saag aloo with a strong peculiar flavour (I wasn’t alone with my opinion) along with the skimpiest & most scrawny lamb chops (practically served seasoned shards of bone). Never paid so much for so little.. Perhaps I made 2 unlucky choices. Paid in full, gave feedback but will not ever go back again.
