First visit , very disappointing. . Large cod no more than a mini fish… so small. Not sure if we got served what was left or whether our order was given incorrectly but honestly, I’ve really had bigger mini fish specials. Chips were fine tho. Sadly this has put us off & we’ll be going back to our usual fish & chip shop.
AVOID ////// AVOID ////// AVOID Rude staff , cold food , overpriced. Send my daughter for a chip butty. She came back with cold food,staff was Rude & been charged £6 . This has happened even when I go myself in person. I will not use this horrible place again.
This was our first visit to this fish and chips shop. They have plenty of food to choose from. We decided on the large battered cod and chips. The fish was freshly fried for us and there was a generous portion of chips. It was really good and the batter on the fish was really crispy. We both really enjoyed it. The staff were very pleasant too.
We live about 4 miles away from the chippy and I wouldn't go anywhere else , quality of the food is top notch the shop and staff are immaculately spotless . Great friendly service . I would rate this an easy 10/10.
We recently moved to Streetly and have been to Blackwood Fish Bar a couple of times. The food has been perfect both times, staff seem friendly, the man was more than happy to put some extra fish cakes in to cook for me, and so far have no complaints at all! Hard to find a really good chip shop these days, so nice to find one less than 3 minutes from my house!
Heard the owner, i think her name was ‘Andrea’, lambasting one of her members of staff. It was incredibly unprofessional, and quite frankly, horrible. It is clear that those young people working there are working in unclean and unsanitary conditions in food prep areas, and earning below legal minimum wage. This is an absolute disgrace. Won’t be coming here again for my fish supper.
Got a takeaway here today.. Mini Fish & Chips and a kebab wrap.. the place was very busy and had a bit of a wait. But no matter, food was prepared quickly and still piping hot when I arrived home.. nicely cooked and tasty. Guys here working very hard. Many Thanks

Never fails to provide amazing food at a reasonable price. Staff are AMAZING and great with the customers. Would recommend the food and service/ staff quality is second to none! Always gives the kids sweets and toys with kids meals !!
Always very busy so there's plenty of fans of this chip shop. Often the queue is out the door and up the high street. Prices are reasonable, I have never had a bad meal from here. In fact the only mistake they made in the last 3 years was them sending 2 scallops and I ordered 1. I was honest, called and spoke to the explaining it and offering to pay for it anyway. They were just pleasant, professional and friendly and insisted I kept it and they didn't want the money, they just said enjoy it. Not bad at all! If say excellent in fact?
