Overpriced and low quality food. The sourdough pizza and garlic bread resembled a thin and crispy from Domino's, not as expected. The Cannelloni was expensive and over-cooked. The best thing was the Foccacia. The restaurant was empty bar 4 tables on a Saturday evening which was sad to see, unsure how the restaurant can survive. The staff were friendly and tried to give you a pleasant experience. I would not recommend based on the over-priced food and quality.

I’m afraid to say this was a disappointment. Small and overdone steak, wilted rocket salad, empty restaurant. Reminded me of Jamie’s Italian, the kind of restaurant t that has a celebrity chef name on the door but the food is not up to scratch. Walk a few minutes round the corner and enjoy a meal in Prezzo or Wagamama. Just don’t spend your money here.

15/03.. Dinner: Great service, wonderful food, and table service by Olivia - she was attentive, friendly and helpful. 16/03.. Breakfast - it's always wonderful when I stay at any hotel to know that kippers are available. They were good. The buffet breakfast is freshly cooked and attentively replaced. Cold meats, cereals, cheeses, fruit and pastries, and alternative milks readily on hand. Luiza's greeting on the front desk was friendly, attentive and with a welcoming smile. The restaurant was busy (7-7.45am), but all staff, including the trainee(s) were calm, not rushing; a specific mention also for Ndeye who waited on our table attentively, collected our plates/dishes when we had finished and asked if we would like more milk. Luiza told me it was only Ndeye's 2nd day... amazing.

Good service, helpful front of house staff, but I can only assume they use student chefs in the kitchen. It was no better than standard hotel food. Really disappointing. I cannot imagine Marco Pierre White eating any of the food I was served. He should probably take his name off this place.

Food was lovely, but a bit overpriced. Staff more interested in chatting to each other than dealing with customers. Waited ages for our drinks (2 bottles coke and 1 bottle of lemonade), had to ask for them again once food had been delivered

I came for afternoon tea with my son last week for his birthday. I pre-booked and asked for halal options which were provided. Unlimited hot drinks and the scones were warm which is always a good sign. It was quiet with no music so there's a lack of atmosphere. Sandwiches were average and standard fillings. I liked the desserts except the carrot cake which was too sweet. Service was good.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for work and arrived quite late so chose to dine here. I wish I'd have eaten from the snack menu in the bar. The staff are very nice, attentive and welcoming however food was awful. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara and a side of garlic bread, I waited a while and got apologies off every staff member that walked past and offered a free drink which I declined. I can only assume my food had sat on the hot plate for an hour when the waiter served it holding a towel. My carbonara was scrambled :( when I mentioned something to the manager she patronisingly said it was cooked with egg - I knew this, but never made or been served it with the egg scrambled. Ate the garlic bread and went to pay, I was offered a drink which I refused but on receipt a drink nor discount were taken off my bill and I paid full price. I wouldn't recommend or return, eat elsewhere.

For anyone looking for somewhere to eat that's a bit quieter than The Dockyard you'll like this and be pleasantly surprised at how it's not much more expensive. Every time I'm here the food looks and tastes great, the staff are friendly and I always feel welcome as its relaxed atmosphere is streets away from the boistrousness of nearby venues. Watch out for match day offers, happy hour and other decent offers.
