I tried Sakari Yatai recently and was really disappointed. I ordered chicken gyoza, vegetable gyoza, chicken ramen, and rice with mushroom β but honestly, none of it tasted like proper Japanese food. The ramen was completely bland, the rice was awful (plain, flavorless, with strange sweet mushrooms and limp raw cabbage underneath). The vegetable gyoza was somewhat ok but not a great taste. Only the chicken gyoza was something to remember out of everything I tried, but I wasn't entirely sure that it is really had chicken inside. The customer service from the man was terrible. The man running the place (a British guy, not Japanese) was extremely rude. I asked for a bag to carry my ramen since I had a long way to walk, and he made a big issue about giving me a simple bag worth a few pennies. He even told me that if I βdidnβt swing the bag around, nothing would spill,β even though the ramen lid was not secure well enough and good places usually wrapped the soup bowls in the plastic to not have this back and forth debate about the penny plastic bag. When I finally got home, even with an extra bag, the soup had a little bit leaked. If I hadnβt insisted on a bag, all my food would have been covered in soup. On top of that, when I was still deciding whether to order ramen, he abruptly told me βthatβs Β£7.50,β basically pushing me to pay before Iβd even decided. When I asked for some extra chilli oil sauce, he refused, saying that a drip of chili oil is inside the sauce he had already gave to me and it is there even though I wanted some extra chilli oil. The whole experience felt rude and careless from the guy. The only asian lady there made me feel better. She has been smiling and gave me an extra sauce. Because of her I put two stars if not her I will put a one star for the whole experience. After everything I didn't even want to say thank you, but only said because I wanted to be polite to an asian lady. Overall, the food was bland with a question mark quality, the service from the man was awful, and it didnβt feel like Japanese food at all β more like some random British mix. I definitely do not recommend this place if youβre looking for real Asian food. The entire experience was unpleasant.

For me, it's by far the best food in bromley full stop and it's great value too. Plus thd chefs are lovely. If I'm in bromley, I go at least once a week. Recommend chicken katsu.

Bromley isn't blessed with many great independent food outlets or street food stalls. However, the power couple of Sakari Yatai have bucked the trend, providing reason for me to head in, eat extremely tasty/simple Japanese food, then head back home. I'm selfishly cautious about spreading the word, but now that they are on Google maps, I may as well go all out. Having tried most of the menu, I've yet to taste anything underwhelming. The salmon donburi and katsu burger are superb. However, the spicy pork ribs are my out-and-out favourite, but by the time I rock up I can usually read the stock levels on their faces from several metres. It only makes the next visit more worthwhile.

I had the takoyaki and teriyaki chicken donburi. Delicious and quite well priced. All the staff were friendly and the food came very quickly.

They do not accommodate for wheelchair users. Was rudely turned away and told they wouldnβt be able to seat other customers which is understandable from a small business perspective but is still discrimination towards disabled customers and was a poor choice of words with no apology given, could of been dealt with much better. Itβs a shame as the food looked good.

Amazing food as always! Last time we had, it was two years ago before we moved out of Grove Park. Two years later this place still deliver delious food. We had spicy ribs and chicken karage for take out, definitely not enough! Friendly service and good portion size. Wish we brought more! Can't wait to try the other dish on the menu.
