Been eating from this takeaway for years and never had a problem. Staff are lovely, food is always hot and they cook variations on the dishes if they can. Very nice indeed
Prawn balls Undercooked batter special curry was watery curry sauce taste like gravy shredded chilli beef was not crispy was bland and gave everyone in my household who ate it and upset stomach and diarrhoea Cold sweats and severe stomach cramp would not recommend
One of the best Chinese restaurants in South East London, this place consistently delivers great-quality food, and I always enjoy dining here. The dishes are flavorful, well-prepared, and never disappoint. However, I do feel that the restaurant could do a better job of informing customers when they’ll be closed for an extended period. It’s frustrating to make the journey only to find out it’s unexpectedly closed. Another suggestion would be to consider extending their delivery area. I have a Chinese restaurant that delivers to my home in Brockley, even though it’s farther away. While I understand Chans doesn’t deliver that far, it’s only about 10 minutes from the restaurant, and I believe many customers, including myself, would order more often if they offered delivery to this area. Overall, it’s an amazing spot, and I highly recommend it, but these small improvements could make the experience even better.
The best Chinese takeaway on the Old Kent Road! I've been a regular customer here for many, many years, usually for delivery but occasionally I'll pop in and collect when I don't want to eat/spend a lot. The staff are always friendly, the service efficient, and the food tasty. Menu highlights include fried dumplings, chicken balls, peking ribs, chow mein and singapore fried rice, to name just a few, plus the set meal for one is extremely good value. In fact, at a time where food costs have been ever increasing, Chan's has resisted putting their prices up as much as they possibly can, keeping them super competitive and super busy. Sadly, they have been closed on a number of occasions this year, but always make the effort to put a sign on the shutters and/or a voice message on the phone line informing customers of this and when they'll reopen.
I've been to this family owned takeaway many times over the past year and their seafood ho fun is delicious and reasonably priced. I've tried their other dishes and they're also full of flavour. I would advise to call up and order for collection or order at the takeaway rather than delivery as sometimes the driver is not available.

Hands down the best value for money, local take away! Friendly staff and big portions. The curry is delicious. Delivery arrived early. Food was piping hot. Definitely recommend you to try the Chan's.
Food is of a very high quality and the owners are very friendly. There is a television in case your worried about missing the footy! There are 2 benches available to sit and wait but I've never had to wait long for my food.. EVER, and I'm a regular who has been going here for years. I highly recommended you visit this amazing restaurant, they never disappoint!
