   Great table service for mixed ages family group, pre Christmas Friday afternoon. Excellent food and drinks. Sarah and Tiff looked after us in a very friendly and professional manner. Well done.

   Starter was ok crispy but had to wait quite a long time for, most the people on my table had already finished their starter before i even got mine. The main was cold and was quite dry, lacking much taste to the turkey. The pudding was the best part of the meal but not enough custard for me, it was exactly the same small jug as what the gravy came in for the main. I Probably would not return again for the prices they charged.

   It started badly, we arrived and the wait staff pestered us straight away to see if we were ready, before we’d even got a drink and sat down. As we’d pre-ordered we thought they were just keen to get the food to us. No, it took 40 minutes for 4 started to come out. This was fine, we were having fun chatting with our friends. It then took another 40 minutes for our mains to come. When they arrived we informed the waiter that we’d also ordered (on arrival) some pigs in blankets, he said they were just coming out. They were not ‘just coming out’, we had finished eating just as the manager arrived with them. I’ll add that we never got an apology for this. We discussed it and were quite annoyed so decided the pigs in blankets were out too late so we didn’t want them, I called the manager over to talk to her about it and her response was “well, that’s what happens on a 40% off night” grabbed them and slunk off. We were stumped by her response, I’d never expected such rude behaviour. We had originally ordered puddings but decided we didn’t want to give the longhorn our custom after how we were treated, paid and left.

   Great food although the chicken brest was dry (as it often is with a mixed grill unfortunately). We were seated in a pleasent environment too. The young bar sraff were really friendly and pleasant as well. I'd happily go back any time.

   Booked in for a family meal on Mother's Day. Pub is really nice inside, very clean, nice atmosphere with a lovely fire burning. Food and drinks were ordered at the table through the app and drinks came soon after with not much of a wait for the starters which were all lovely; serving staff were really pleasant. I ordered the Sunday Roast Duo for main meal so both turkey and beef with pigs in blankets, there was a good amount of tasty food but I did ask for more gravy which was brought to me promptly. The rest of family thought it was decent pub food but felt the vegetarian options were a little limited. Toilets were kept very clean. Overall a lovely meal out, would happily go again.

   I have visited this place many times over the years, and I cannot fault it. If you’re looking for great pub food, then this is the place. Staff are always friendly, service is quick and the food is just what you would expect…simple but good pub grub. We managed to get a seat by the fire and it was a very cosy atmosphere with all of the Christmas decorations. It helps that the cleanliness standards are also high.

   A large outdoor seating area showing good managerial skills that utilise the space enabling many drinkers to enjoy warm weather. Inside is impressively furnished, too. No problem to try two different ales before I bought. I settled for the Dark Star Hophead which was crisp, refreshing and hoppy. Service with a smile deserved a tip.
