Friendly and pleasant staff, good food selection. Atmosphere is fantastic! Would recommend this place to anyone.
We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday and were greeted so warmly by the host/manager. We have been a few times to this restaurant and the bar staff recognised us which was so lovely, recognition from staff goes a long way and made us feel so warm and welcome! Drinks arrived so quickly and he even remembered what we had last time we visited which was incredible service from him. The cocktails didn’t disappoint. The service was unbelievable, at no point did we have to ask for drinks order or food order to be taken. They’re incredibly attentive here. The food is artwork, it is so fresh and home made which is exactly what you want in a lovely independent restaurant. The lighting was perfect and the music fitted the restaurant aesthetic and the time of day we arrived. I can’t fault this place whatsoever, can’t recommend it enough.
Would highly recommend! Greeted very well at the door, the bar staff incredibly knowledgable and the best pornstar martini I have ever had! Drinks arrived incredibly quickly after ordering. The food was absolutely out of this world and I would call it art. The taste in the pork roll was incredible! Lobster ravioli was on the special and we had to try it and it definitely did not disappoint. The only thing I would recommend is to leave space for desert because they are absolutely insane! Chocolate fondant was my favourite however closely followed by the discoff. I already can’t wait to come back here!!
We live quite a way from Westhoughton, but after hearing our friends rave about Nabucco, we decided to make the journey - absolutely no regrets. The moment we walked in, it had that welcoming but classy feel, almost like stepping into a little corner of Italy. The food was the real deal. I had the special octopus - beautifully plated, delicate and full of flavour. My partner’s seafood pasta was just as good, really fresh and genuinely authentic. The staff were brilliant too - friendly, attentive and never made us feel rushed. Exactly what you want. I don’t normally pay attention to reviews when choosing where to eat, but I did notice a few people having a moan. As someone who’s travelled around Italy more times than I can count, it’s clear this place is doing something right - it’s so good, I reckon it might be stepping on a few toes. We’ll definitely be back, even if it means a little trip. This place is worth every mile.
Overall, me and my friend had a nice evening and I thoroughly enjoyed my food. The service staff were pleasant and attentive . However it was somewhat tainted by my friend having a steak with a peppercorn sauce to which the sauce tasted bizarre and she couldn’t eat it (I tried the sauce and it didn’t taste right). When we went back to the staff on this - very politely- we had the head chef come to our table and make us feel quite small and belittled, for being the ‘first person in his entire career to complain about his sauce’ and that ‘nine other people in the restaurant currently’ (which at the time was very empty - for that comment to feel truthful) were ‘enjoying the sauce without complaints and [were] in fact sending back compliments’. My friend and I, spent £120 between the two of us with a bottle of wine and three courses, so it was not a cheap evening for us and for what we spent, we are not wrong to think that we’d like to enjoy what we ordered. Despite enjoying my meal very much, I’d be somewhat reluctant to head back any time soon due to this incident.
Hi Guys First meal at the Nabucco restaurant in Howfen. Enclosed pic Fillet Steak with Blue cheese sauce. Pleasant atmosphere with attentive staff complete with nicely cooked meals. A little sparse with the veg! Reasonably priced. Would I return again? YES. Thanks for a great evening.
Beautiful restaurant, the food was exquisite and really fair prices considering the quality! All the staff there made sure I had a 1st class experience and were so welcoming - you feel like family! I wish I lived closer to this place (I’m from Leeds) but would 100% go back again and again. The cocktails are top notch too, especially the Nabucco Bramble! Although the restaurant is new, you can tell that all the staff have many years of experience. Don’t miss out on this little gem!
We came across this restaurant as we couldn’t get in a different one nearby and were so happy to find it, the food was excellent, calamari to start which was shared as a very large portion, mains of chicken and crab ravioli then sharing a lovely lemon cheesecake with ice cream, we also had some nice wines, the staff were friendly and attentive, the decor was nice and clean, a reasonable price for the food and service,will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area and bringing along family to enjoy as well.
Lovely decor, I love all the plants and it's much brighter with the lighter paint and accents of dark. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was good, a very substantial calamari starter, and cooked well. The garlic bread is fluffy and crispy in the right places and not greasy. I had a chicken special with a tomato based sauce which was packed full of flavour and the chips were very tasty! A good range of drinks and not too pricey. Overall a good experience, I will be returning.
