Incredible food in a stylish, romantic underground restaurant. High quality modern european dishes and a great wine list. Expensive but worth it - perfect for date night or special occasions
Had our work Christmas meal at the Michael Caines restaurant and was largely disappointed. Tiny portions of food, waiters with severely over inflated egos, and a strikingly obvious lack of any kind of Christmas spirit. The food was good enough to drag the experience up to a 2/5 but the overall feeling of the place was stone cold.
Feckless, skill-deprived "cooking". Very disappointed with the restaurant. Poor cooking, horrendous service. Beef tasted of nothing - thank god for the copious amounts of salt. Would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant - I can only assume the chef has long abandoned this place.

A chic restaurant with a smart casual ambience. Contemporary European cuisine of Michelin standard. Signature dishes with slow poached brill, roast sirloin of beef and Goosnargh duckling. Excellent red wine from Chile. Value for money with discounted set menus to choose from.
Visited here a couple of weeks ago, had the taster menu with matched wines and the food was very nice, certainly at a very high level despite the fact it doesn't have a Michelin star. There were a couple of course where the meat was quite fatty (and not in a good way to give it more taste). The price was also very steep and they added on a 20% service charge at the end and charged me wrong amount so I ended up paying about 25%!
