Fair play, great food, honest value and attentive staff. It's a regular treat when we get both time and a free table! It's the first place we recommend to our guests that come to stay at Fairfield Court.

Tonight's carvery was the worst I have ever had and we will not be returning to the Nailors Arms any time soon. We invited our friends for dinner there as a birthday treat, we have been to this pub on many other occasions and never been dissatisfied. However on this occasion we were so disappointed. The vegetables were not replenished. There wasn't any carrots, green beans, red cabbage or gravey left on display. The serving plates were cold and so was the meat and the colliflower. By the time the young man returned from the kitchen with replacements the rest of the food on our plates became cold. I asked for my food to me microwaved. The Carvery area was untidy and the plate chargers dirty. The member of staff serving was disinterested and seemed like he couldn't be bothered. It spoiled the night out for our friend it was his birthday. I was so embarrassed as I did complain which is something that I have never done anywhere before. It is such a shame that this once recommendable place to eat is now not worth the time or the money.

Best carvery I have ever been to! Fresh food, fresh veggies, thickly sliced melt in your mouth meat, great service and very clean throughout! Just missing mashed potatoes as that's mainly what my daughter eats but still pretty amazing!

Terrific carvery and a good range of meals on the menu to suit everyone. We have eaten here for both lunchtimes and evening meals and the carvery is superb. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a large car park on site, but evenings can get busy. They do accept reservations, and you will be safer to secure your reservation to guarantee a table.

Food was good, nice selection. We had the carvery chef was pleasant. Desserts were nice. Staff overall we're very nice especially the chap with the long beard. He came to the table a few times and checked everything was OK. The drinks took quite a while to come. But not the end of the world. Tables were cleared quickly and relaid for next customers. Overall would go back again.

Attractive pub with a simple menu and very reasonable prices for a meal out. The staff were helpful with getting us sorted with a high chair etc and other random requests. The starters were very basic and not much to write home about but the main courses were the best. I had one of the burgers and it was delicious. I think this pub is known for its carvery and it certainly looked great. I would visit again for the value and the nice environment, thank you.

Went here for my first carvery experience, not disappointed at all! The food are nice with a great selection of sides. Staff are friendly and helpful.Would definitely visit again! Lot of reserved seat, glad we grab a spot before it's full! Better to make a booking next time!

Went here for the first time today as it was recommended to us by a family member. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. Drinks arrived quickly. The food ... We all had homemade braised beef and onion pie, chips and peas ....was absolutely amazing. Huge chunks of meat and a tasty gravy. The pie filling filled the deep dish and the light puff pastry topping was the best. Chips were gorgeous too, nice and crisp on the outside whilst being fluffy in the middle . A separate, huge, pot of gravy was also served with the meal . There is a restaurant area which I would recommend you book for or the pub side, where meals are also served. We chose from the pub classics menu but they also do a carvery .We complimented the staff as we were leaving with a promise that we would be going back ... And we will ...
