Diabolical service. Table wasn't ready when we arrived. No one came to take our orders. Another table had been waiting almost 2 hours for drink and food to served. Not enough staff for the amount of diners. Had the atmosphere of a canteen. We left without eating. Never again.

It seems like a great venue but unfortunately it’s not somewhere I’m going to return to. The menus were outdated and we needed to ask advice on just about everything. There were hardly any gluten free options even though plenty of other Indian restaurants I’ve been to have loads and loads. The food took ages to be cooked and even when it started coming out, there was stuff missing and confusion about what we had ordered when we specifically double checked the guy was writing down the right stuff. I have to say that the biryani was good but from the feedback of my group, everything else was sub par. I’m giving two stars for the drinks selection and the venue.

Our first visit to this restaurant as we are not from this area and we were very impressed. Fantastic food served by very friendly staff. Reasonably priced too. We highly recommend, well done!

Absolutely disgusted with the service, and the quality of the food. At some points its like you are speaking to a brick wall when asking staff for things and having to repeatedly ask for the same thing 10 mins after the first time. Secondly the food was horrific, the time it took to come out was a joke just for starters 1 hour. The quality of the food was very poor just drowned in oil and the mixed grill crispy onions may have been bathed in oil before coming out. Mains we order a chicken tika and was just full of oil a layer of oil. Would not be coming back and suggest not to go if your looking to eat anything nice.

Went for the first time yesterday. The food was really nice. It tasted more authentic than most Indian food I’ve had and wasn’t swimming in sauces. I had the lamb clay pot and my daughter had the lamb rogan Josh. Both were lovely. Good selection of drinks. Great place, simple but tasteful deco and nice atmosphere. I’ve found my new regular spot

Slow service to start. Reminded me of a Witherspoon's vibe. Owner thinks perhaps I got the wrong place even though I've posted the menu and food. Definitely the right place.

It was my first time going there a month ago. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good level of covid-19 measures and sanitiser on all tables. The food was very nice and hot. Good table service. Reasonable prices for the quality of food and location.

There were no issues on our visit this Friday night apart from the lack of mask wearing by the staff and customers alike. I liked the place, it's been refurbished to a decent standard but there is a bit of a canteen vibe regarding the seating and layout. In addition the "disco" started up at around 7.15pm which we old fogeys could have done without. It's quite an extensive menu although unlike Bangladeshi restaurants my wife found the choice of curries for her rather limited, I was OK though. As is common in Indian restaurants these days there appears to be a concentration on tapas & grill food. You can either pay up front at the bar or order via the QR code on your table. The food we had was very good although I would have liked an onion salad with the poppadoms and I prefer a more "home style" pilau rice. The drinks choice is also very good and I really enjoyed my Batham's bitter. I suggest the prices aren't bad considering the level of rent they are probably paying. The service was pleasant enough although some of the staff were not quite clued up on the characteristics of the dishes. Nice location with outdoor seating and convenient free parking.

First time at the Indian Tavern just turned up and grabbed a table outside used the app as instructed. Ordered food and drinks then it started to rain put up umbrella but rain was to much for umbrella had to go inside. At first the young lad was not going to give us a table because we hadn't booked. He was told what do you want us to do sit outside in the rain and eat our food we had Ordered. He quickly found me and my wife a small table and brought us our food. Got to say it was the best Indian food I've tasted in a very long time, I had the vegetable biryani and my wife had chicken jalfrezi and a naan bread lovely food and good service.
