   Turned up unannounced tonight and we were made so welcome. There's a brilliant choice on the menu and the food was delicious! It's done out really nicely too, so a great venue with a good atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

   First ever visit and went for breakfast. Matt the owner greeted us and was friendly and chatty. The staff were very attentive and helpful. My wife had porridge with delicious fresh plump berries and lovely toast and jam. I had the extra large breakfast and it was bostin. Great to have fried bread with a breakfast as it does not happen much nowadays. Highly recommended.

   Been wanting to try the food here since seeing Matts videos on Facebook. We had to travel from County Durham to Basingstoke today so decided to detour purely for a Sunday Roast. The food is amazing. Nice and fresh and the red cabbage is out of this world! I had a standard gammon roast and my husband had a large trio of meats, which he struggled to finish. The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much. We will definitely be back

   First visit to Lockside and we was not disappointed at all. The food was absolutely superb. Partner had the rump and was absolutely beautiful it wasn’t cooked to his specifications but that was a minor issue with the kitchen BUT it did not stop him eating it and enjoying it that much the plate was cleared. I had Sunday lunch trio of meats and it was beautiful veg cooked perfectly and plenty of veg to accompany the plate. Been a long long time since we have enjoyed food to that standard. The service was amazing all the staff were fab and soooooo friendly was a breath of fresh air. I have lowered the atmosphere stars and this is not locksides fault but a BIG AND LOUD table arrive shortly after us and when I say loud they could have drowned out a nightclub DJ - could we have said something to the staff, yes but where would it have gotten us no where that’s up to individuals to have a little bit of self restraint however, it did not reflect poorly on the staff or the restaurant. The puddings were literally heaven !!! We will definitely be returning to this absolute gem. The decor is beautiful and itruns all the way to the smallest of details. Excellent place and staff management and owners should be proud

   Excellent meal here last week. The food tasted great, well cooked steaks and excellent service. Our order was taken by Mat, and our server was a friendly lady who was very attentive. I had my rib-eye steak cooked well-done and was so full had to skip dessert. My only criticism is that the Stilton cheese sauce was a bit too thin for my liking - I would have preferred a thicker consistency. I plan to be back asap to try other items on the menu! I have no problem recommending this establishment to others!

   Firstly the inside of this place is just lovely. Well decorated with an open kitchen. We came as a group of four and was really looking forward to the food. We ordered a main courses only as we fancied going straight for the meat. We waited an hour and 15mins for the food which was disappointed and when it came they missed one of the sides. Food itself was lovely, we had 3x hangers and a steak. Was slightly surprised that the hangers despite what meat you had or if you chose to go vegetarian you still paid the same price for. The sauce was not the correct sauce it was more of a sour cream so I asked for bbq sauce to go with my meat. Overall a lovely experience but we won't be in a rush to go back due to the cost. You get more for your money and slightly higher standard at Miller and Carter. Glass of wine 9 pounds and whilst I was tempted with a dessert I couldn't justify paying 9 pound for it.. so I went home and had some chocolate! I will go back just not as regularly as I go to Miller and Carter. Improvements for the restaurant- whilst I understand the increased cost of bills if it was a little cheaper I would go more frequently. Overall a satisfactory experience not excellent!

   First visit was great. The food was cooked to perfection and the server Josh was very attentive. The second visit was mediocre and they forgot the starters but the staff rectified it for us. I would definitely go there again just incase it was a one off experience on that particular day. It isn't cheap by no means and you have to leave £10 table reservation fee which gets deducted from your bill. Do check though as ours got missed the first time.

   Amazing steakhouse! We sat outside even though it was raining, it was very well setup and very well sheltered with outdoor heating. This was in may 2021 during the covid pandemic so outdoor eating was the only option. Food was fantastic, staff were also great! Quite pricey but it was worth the money! Great selection of cocktails, drinks and steaks. If your a steak lover you should definitely check this place out!
