Me and my husband for lunch 21/08/2025, my husband had the chippy feast and said it was delicious and filling, it was great value for money. As a celiac I was pleasantly surprised at the range of food they had to offer, I chose the Gammon and chips, the server Dannii was very informative about the food that was offered to me as a celiac and answered all the questions I had, precisely and clearly, which gave me confidence about my food. The price of the food we found to be excellent value for money it was well cooked, well-presented and tasted delicious. We always drink non-alcohol beer and cider and we found these to be very expensive and there was only 1 choice of non-alcoholic cider, the can of Guinness 0.0 was not a pint can. All in All, the food was excellent, the price of drinks was disgusting, the service was brilliant. Our compliments to the chef.

Went earlier with Family, the food portions very generous, food just pub food but presented well, clean place and all the staff are excellent professional, friendly and have a smile on their face, a very welcoming pub with a lovely atmosphere.

Enjoyed fish and chips and Cheescake on the £20 deal. Really enjoyed it. Pleasant and quiet atmosphere. Great service especially from Dave who was friendly, polite and helpful.

Friendly pub serving standard everyday faire The staff are pleasant and efficient which is a plus as is the regular number of ales that rotate every few weeks. The previous Manager Samantha set a very high standard for her staff which paid dividends with increased numbers frequenting the place. If the replace Dam With someone as good then that will be brilliant if they don’t then it could impact on future business

Really nice semi rural pub, loved the dogs inside the pub and the overall atmosphere. Was a very good all round pub attracting ages of all. The food we had was good and the service was friendly. They also saved my bacon when I left my work bag (with laptop) there, they had found it and kept it safe for us to collect the next day. Will return when back in the area.

We always have a decent meal at the Lawnswood. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food is good and reasonably priced. It's always well worth supporting a local pub over a chain. I'll be back :)

Saturday night. Very busy. Food good. 2 x steaks and a chicken dish all well prepared and served efficiently. Got to mention the beer. Wainwrights bitter was as clear as a bell and in excellent condition. Well done. Like the pub very much as have bar area t.v.s pool table etc. Then eating areas. This really works as if busy you can eat anywhere and a big plus you can bring the dog in. Well done again the Lawnswood.
