What a fantastic place. Friendly staff, excellent food, reasonably priced and generously portioned. And the Xmas decs!!! Outstanding!! Already planned to go back.
Our experience was not to good yesterday the 12th October. We could have hit it on a bad day .my birthday lunch was cold there was was food been dropped on the floor and gravy dripping of plates. Unfortunately we were sat in front of the carvery station. I wish l had said something but it was my birthday. Just so bad .l have been on a normal day and it as been good. Sorry to say won't be going back .
Gate Inn is a pleasant place to stay. The location is convenient, close to the main attractions. The rooms are clean and cosy, there is everything you need. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Breakfast is tasty, with a wide choice of dishes. In the restaurant you can try local specialities. Prices are moderate. From the minuses - sometimes it can be noisy because of the proximity to the road. Overall, I recommend Gate Inn for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Excellent value for money.
Small pub with a great atmosphere. Good selection of food on the menu. No fast food here all freshly made - you will have to wait. Quality ingredients, alot of homemade offerings. Staff very attentive
Always a very friendly welcome, the beers are wonderful, superb selection of gins and the food is exceptional. We've been twice and it's our new favourite place to eat. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and ample parking, brilliant.
Friendly welcome. Good food. Had the Sunday carvery which was very nice but I think some of the vegetables had been there a while. A good and varied menu.
First time at The Gate Inn and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious (especially their famous sticky chicken!) Christopher was incredible and the customer service was 5 star. Would 100% be coming back!
The choice of meals are incredible, so much variety and so many to choose from. We had an absolutely fantastic meal.The service was excellent, the decor is lovely, the music is nice in the background and the tables are decorated beautifully. The staff are so nice, friendly, polite and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend The gate,and will definitely be going back.
Absolutely fantastic! Love this place, beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and food to die for. Sticky chicken is a must. Cottage pie delicious and homemade chips. Nothing to complain about can't wait to return and bring friends. Well done to everyone involved it's really good.
