Excellent bagels. I had two ! Great staff, very friendly and helpful. A really attractive establishment set right next to the Chesterfield canal. I would certainly return.
There is a reasonable amount of parking space which you must pay and display, here, including some disabled spaces. The bistro is by a lovely canal, giving guests a relaxing environment. The outdoor furniture could do with an upgrade. It's a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a meal or drink. The food is excellent, and a good variety of value for money options are available. Thee is wheelchair/ buggy friendly entrances, with the choice of seating indoors or outdoors. The staff are friendly and helpful.
What a fantastic place to go! I took my bestie to the Bay tree for an afternoon tea for her birthday- I am unfortunately allergic to Gluten and Dairy, but oh my GOODNESS! They absolutely outdid themselves and any other places that I've been to recently! The picnic basket was a beautiful touch, and the food was delicious. 1000% recommend. Thankyou Baytree for making our visit an easy and delicious one!
Had an amazing afternoon tea today at Baytree Bistro & Bar! It was absolutely delicious and such a lovely variety of food and sweet treats! All washed down by a lovely glass of bubbly!
Came across this place by chance what a find! Sat outside next to canal and the weather was fab, service great. Food was fantastic and reasonable, the staff were super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning and can thoroughly recommend
We aimed to get here for breakfast but just missed it so ended up with a few sandwiches and toasties instead. They were delicious, great portion sizes and definitely fresh. The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive but not hovering, and there wasn't much of a wait for food considering 3 meals were made on an already busy morning. I was surprised to find a care basket in the ladies washroom which contained a few things that you might need nipping to the toilets with or without the baby. This discovery sealed the deal on an already brilliant experience. I will absolutely be back here next time I'm up North.
I was visiting Retford for the weekend, I understand a lot places would be busy being mother's day. However this was the only establishment that to me were, welcoming and service was top class. Now the sunday roast, what can I say apart from delicious, the best roast I have had in years. Highly recommended also have seating outside beside the canal, which would be lovely at the summer time. Btw the dessert chocolate brownie with salted caramel was amazing.
The best breakfast ever! Staff are lovely, good prices and a great view of the canal! 10/10 would recommend
Absolutely love this place! French toast is to die for salads are so good especially with some fries... Iced coffee and smoothies are delicious... It's dangerous working from home I could happily order every day!
Great gluten free burger and club sandwich. For the quality of the food i thought the price was very good. Friendly helpful staff. Been a few times, never been dissapointed. Only one negative is burger served on wooden board (personal hate of mine) but lovely lady that served us put it me on a plate. Would keep going back when in the area.
