   First time trying El Bareto and we will definitely be back. The food is incredible, everything was fresh and delicious and such a great variety on the menu. Very attentive service and friendly staff. A gem in Chapel Allerton - definitely recommend.

   Loud and crowded, which I guess is authentic, but I found it a bit overpowering. The food was good rather than excellent, with quite long waiting times. Seating was particularly uncomfortable, we were part of a large group, which meant we didn't have a true representation of seating. Surprisingly no paella, run out. I ask you? How does a tapas restaurant run out of rice? All my reviews try to give an honest review from my experience, you may have a better or worse experience.    This place managed to squeeze us in at the last minute on a Friday night. The Spanish bar maid was absolutely lovely, and the chap who served up was great too. We sat downstairs and I absolutely love the rustic feel and the seating arrangements/tables and style. For only the second time in the UK, I felt like I was actually in a tapas restaurant, eating actual Spanish tapas and drinking Spanish wine. Our date was perfect, the food was so good with our particular favourites being the chorizo croquettes, the duck, onion and cheese plate (sorry forgot the name, if the owner replies to this please name that dish!!!) And the Spanish meatballs. The food was so good, I actually forgot to take a picture until we were half way through the dishes, very unlike me. Perfect food. Perfect atmosphere, perfect date. Thank you!

   For a privately owned restraunt it’s smashing! I much prefer giving money to independent places rather than the large companies! And this is a place I’ll visit over and over again! Great service! Great food! Great ambience! Thanks for the amazing restraunt!

   I don't know really.... staff were nice ambiance was ok seats are uncomfortable. So the food hmmm not really what I expected really all depends on what your ordering croquets were not good at all....jalapeño croquet not good.... potatoes and onion omlete no not good defo microwave...... cheese and mushroom was really grim......salad was grim .. lamb chops nice.... prawns nice... basically if it had to be cooked it was ok even if it came a while after the microwave courses ... of course the beer was nice... all in all not for me won't be back overpriced suppose it depends on how much is in your pocket but for the quality yeah paid to much .... if you're looking for a nice meal look elsewhere would be my advice feels like this place has lost the passion ... pictures might look OK or may be not ...

   Had a lovely meal here. The outside booths were nice to sit in and enjoy the meal. Only knocking a star off because the table was dirty and two of the dishes that arrived were not what we ordered, still tasty though. I'd go again.

   Went for a dinner date to El Bareto last night and luckily my boyfriend reserved a table for us. The bar was packed and the restaurant area was fully booked. The food was amazing and the chorizo was indescribable, it doesn't compare to what you can get in the supermarkets. The staff were super friendly although they were busy. We overheard a waitress saying that someone was ill. We ordered 7 dishes, 1 over the limit they recommend. Listen to their recomme station which is 4-6 dishes for 2 people. We were stuffed! The picture of the chicken dish doesn't so justice as we had finished it before I could take a picture. They brought the dishes out when they were ready to be served; they are cooking everything fresh. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough; amazing food, great staff, quality food for the right price. Make sure you book your table :)
