I have a dairy allergy and the staff were so kind and helpful in making sure everything was safe for me. The food was tasty, affordable, and I felt comfortable eating here. I’ll definitely be going back! Its rare you find a gluten free chip shop, my mum can't eat gluten so I will be telling her about this! :))

These guys at Street Lane have cooked for us maybe up to ten years. Always take away, and often same fish, chips and FREE scraps. Staff know us and could correctly predict our usual order when we walk through door. They pay personal warm attention and encouragement to my nonverbal young person l look after and always by my side visiting Frydays. Thank you to all staff and chefs at Fish Frydays

Been coming here since they opened. Last time fish had thick white mush under the batter but just wrote it off as not everything is perfect in life. Time to try again today. £29 for regular f and c and a large haddock, 5.15pm 22nd Jan. V quiet and no queue. So, not sure why we had to pay for cold very very bone dry sawdust chips. I would put money on it they are reheated. Like cheap oven chips. Just gutted and will never ever eat here again. Fish was v good but it’s an entire meal and the simplest bit was unloved and not fit for a dogs dinner.

Best chippy in Yorkshire by far. Quality consistent food and always fresh …..can’t get any better than this. The staff are also awesome too. So professional and friendly.

Just found this little gem recently. Probably the best gluten free fish and chips we have ever eaten. Lovely staff too.

Fish and chips were excellent. Staff were all friendly and attentive and you can sit in without having to pay extra. Until recently I would swear by the Skyliner at Cross Gates for the best fish and chips but these are definitely up there. Will definitely go again.

Absolutely magic. Really good fish and chips. Fish was fresh, flaky and nicely cooked. Batter was just right, crispy lite and not soggy. Mushy peas and chips are great. Staff were super nice.... It's also very clean and modern inside, so we decided to eat in. Really recommend this place.
