Ordered special curry, it was bright red, quite hot but had no flavour at all. Fried rice ok, chips ok.

We chose the takeaway option but waited inside the restaurant for collection. There were oriental people eating inside, and there was a large party sat together, the restaurant was clean spacious and had a beautiful Chinese archway for decoration. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our order did not take long to cook. We had Chow mein, a rice dish and chips. The food was well cooked and fresh ingredients used and looked appealing. The food was a little bland on taste for ourselves but this is a personal preference hence the 3 stars. The food was also dry with no sauce added to the chow mein, so if that’s your preference you will be fine. The dine in option looked a good choice as was the takeaway. The food was good just not to our taste

The people that took over this place of more recent times is outstanding. Easily my favourite chinese food around here :) The food is always high quality, and is the chef isnt happy with how their food is going out, will even redo the dish to be great. Couldnt ask for more! Ive been going to this place over several owners and I honestly think its been the best its ever been. The price might be a little on the higher side compared to some others, but they are all increasing and catching up now and the quality of this place is like no others. I really hope they never shut up shop, as having food from here as a treat is one of the things I always look forward to :) Edit: I should say, my recommendation would be Beef in Black Bean with rice. I always add extra chillies though as I like it spicy, but even without, the flavour is amazing.

Spare ribs were decent but the rest - chow mein & duck char Sui - disgusting sloppy mess. Hardly any veg really bland & just didn’t taste fresh. The photo is of a big lump of soft duck fat definitely a big put off. Waste of £30 & wont be going back

Very disappointing. 3 of us agreed that the food wasn't good at all. The pad Thai box was like soup, noodles slimes made me feel ill I didn't eat it. S&p chips were so spicy I couldn't eat. We all felt poorly the next day. Certainly declined in food quality since new owners. Shame because the owners seem so lovely.

Foods good but this place is cash only. It stopped me from ordering as I never have cash in the house. You guys need to get a card machine asap

Most of the salt and pepper chicken was so dried up it was hard and tough, we had to throw most of it away, it was seasoned by shop bought seasoning which tasted awful. The salt and pepper chips, the seasoning was awful too, from a packet rather than done home made. Really powdery. No onions, no hot peppers or chilles... just cheap seasoning. Won't ever go again.

I was used to chow me in at the now defunct Lotus in Woodlesford. I returned again and again it was so good. I will never return to the New ko shing because I’m afraid it was the opposite. To be fair, the king prawns and vegetables were nice, but they were swimming in a watery gravy not Chinese sauce. The noodles were poor quality and badly cooked. There were about 15 bean sprouts. I got oven chips. NOT acceptable.

Food is banging. Spare ribs are thick, meaty and like they used to be back in the day. The prawn toast is to die for, with a thick layer of prawns on covering the top of the bread. Portions are nice and big, the food is cooked to perfection and it’s always nice and hot when you receive your order. I personally travel 8 miles to come here and get my Chinese. It’s the best I’ve eaten from yet.
