Kashmiri Aroma on Herriot Way, Wakefield is a fantastic restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautifully cooked, authentic dishes. The flavours are rich, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly and attentive. A great spot for a relaxed meal out in Wakefield — highly recommended!
We went on Weds 19th November 2025. Table 13, and we chose the A La Carte menu, not the buffet. As we were seated we were asked are we having buffet or A La Carte, to which we replied A La Carte. No menus were offered. We asked for drinks and poppadoms and these were brought. No menus offered. After we'd finished the poppadoms we were asked again, buffet or A La Carte, to which we once again replied A La Carte. No menus werr offered. After 5 further minutes we flagged a waiter down and asked for menus. The then came back after 2 minutes to take our order. When the starters arrived, no mint / yoghurt sauce was proffered, so, again, we had to flag a waiter down for some. I had the Lamb Nihari as a main, which was fine, but not the best I'd had. Once finished we asked for the bill, promptly delivered. After 5 minutes, we had to flag somebody down to ask if we paid at the desk or if a card machine was coming. At the desk. Service was not good. May have just been a one off bad night. Won't be rushing back.
A regular place for taking all my customers for a proper Pakistani Curry, so many choices of sizzling starters and many dishes . Always a warm welcome from Saj
Went here with colleagues for an evening meal. We ordered curries which we really enjoyed. Friendly staff, will definitely be back
We started off at the bar and were greeted by the owner, They made us feel so welcome , We sat down 5 minutes later by a waiter, It was very busy, but they were on the ball, great service and atmosphere, I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing and at a great price
We have been several times but not for the last 3 years. 4 of us went last night. Awful meal and the most terrible service. We ate the meal and we were not asked if it was OK, if we wanted other drink or anything. We were then presented with the bill without being asked or if we wanted the bill or if we wanted a dessert, tea coffee or anything. It wasn't even 9 o'clock but they obviously wanted us out so they could shut. We just paid and left noticing on the way out that 2 of the waiters were in the entrance playing on their phones. We paid £102. For appalling food and service. Never again.
Menu is great. Staff are friendly and service is fast. The food is amazing, flavours brilliant. Can highly recommend and already planned to return for some more authentic Indian food.
Came to Wakefield for 2 days work , Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered the PUNJABI MURGH, it was just perfectly prepared. Not to mention absolutely stellar service! This restaurant was really great, I highly recommend it, 10/10! The food was super good and tasted very fresh. The price was reasonable and the staff was super friendly ( Shazad in particular treated me really well ) . The restaurant was really clean and the environment was nice and despite being very busy my order came quick . I will come back to try other dishes before i leave . It is just exceptional
Kashmiri Aroma is very easy to find and has a lot of parking spaces. The ambiance was very pleasant and decor was very cosy. We had a buffet, and I felt there was little choice compared to other Indian buffets and the food lacked the quality. The pilau rice tasted dry, the Chicken in the curries was not blended with the curry and clearly fried earlier. I was disappointed with the lack of choice but I suppose that I am comparing this to other buffets. The staff were helpful. Maybe different days the buffet food is better, if in Wakefield again, will probably return.
