Beautiful restaurant the food was amazing so tasty and plenty of it the atmosphere was wonderful the restaurant deco is stunning the service was fantastic very attentive and helpful would highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back
Very nice food, had seekh kebab donner, chicken balti and and Kheer. Chicken balti was very very nice standout and the Kheer also. Seekh kebab is always good. Service is great and we got served by lovely lady Atika or Atira.
The restaurant offers an authentic taste of South Asian cuisine. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to enjoy genuine South Asian flavours. The prices were reasonable, and they are currently in the process of expanding the space. Hopefully, both floors will be ready in a few months.
I had a fantastic dining experience at SHIMLAS in leeds ,The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was flavorful and well-presented. The chicken donner and crispy naga wings was a highlight and definitely worth trying and the milk cake is a must try The service was top-notch. The Manager ATHIRA was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal, especially The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food and great service. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Probably the best chicken curry I've had in Leeds for this price. We ordered two varieties, they were equally as good and very different in taste. Everything was done from scratch and of very high quality. Good service, decent price, good size portions. It takes around 25 minutes for them to prepare the curry, not the place to go if you're in a rush but the place to go if you don't want a pre-prepared dish. The only complaint is that there's nowhere to park, and if there is, it's not sign-posted.
We came Leeds to meet our friend and they suggested us to try out food here for a nice Indian dishes. Staff were welcoming and really polite, there wasn’t much of a rush but it could get busier other days. Few items were okay but few items were really delicious. I specially like the lamb chomps and Fried fish, I would definitely add it to must try. Overall restaurant is decent and serve good food. Do keep in mind on busier days the service could be sluggish and they could even forget items you ordered. P.S - Mindful while ordering breads as they are bigger than normal one
Brilliant food, chicken donner was very tender and was cooked perfectly. The daal was spiced just as requested and was very tasty. Lamb Biryani was very falvoursome and the portions are big and very good value. Really enjoyed the mocktail too. Service was great with friendly staff, interior was lovely and cosy as well. I can confirm that this place is as good as the reviews say!
I visited Shimlas in Leeds for the first time and the food was ok, the restaurant doesn’t have any parking so you have to park in a residential street, the service wasn’t 100% great I had to ask for the table I was allocated to to be cleaned as the server thought it was a clean table, I also feel the toilets were not clean, the menus were kind of torn. Knives and forks were not already out we had to ask for them after our food was served, Our server was attentive hence why I’m giving 3 stars. The restaurant can be more organised and make improvements on the cleanliness and it would definitely be 5 stars.
