So basically, it was my birthday and we went here because we never went there. The food was amazing and everything was super quick. Then later after we ate I got surprised by a plate of ice cream which tasted delicious. And the staff are extremely kind and really made my day.

Just had a fantastic meal in Sheesh Mahal, Leeds. We were a party of 14 with 12 of us having the set menu and two of us having dietary requirements. These were accomodated without fuss and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will be back

Iv not been here for 20 years but now it will be my no1 curry house. Absolutely amazing service. Popadoms was on my table before I taken my coat off! The food was amazing, chicken tikka saag was so tender and the garlic nann was exceptional. A added bonus is they sell kirkstall ales on draft

The best Indian around, never had a bad meal in 25 years, though I now live in Australia frequent visits back to the UK always include a visit here. Friendly staff with great food and service.

Used to come here quite regular but hadn't been in over a year, went tonight with the wife and the food and service is still absolutely five star. From the moment we walked in we were promptly shown to a table, within 60 seconds we were given menus and poppadoms and was given great suggestions on the food choices. Food was absolutely amazing as always and portion size still more than enough to enjoy and still have some left to take home. Worth driving to Leeds for and will be returning again soon.

Food is very tasty, the best curry I have had for a while. The decor could do with updating but this would not put me off going again. Some confusion over drink orders, they need to improve on that.

This was a beautiful place, first time dining here. The food was amazing, big portions; I shared 1 dish between 2 of us and I was so full. The service wasn't good unfortunately, after ordering first round of drinks a 2nd round got ordered and starters came out and the table hadn't been cleared causing there to be no space for starters. Some drinks weren't bought out at all. Atmosphere was great, a lot of happy faces during and after eating.

We visited this fine establishment on the 27th of November, we had visited before the Boxing Day floods but not been since the reopening. For starters we had seekh kebab, fish pakora, vegetable samosas and onion bhaji (with a proverbial gallon of sauce) and all of them were exquisite. For main I had the chicken and spinach garlic, the seasoning was perfectly balanced, just the right amount of spice and the exquisite burst of sweet tangy flavour from the baby garlic cloves were a definite highlight. The rest of my company had chicken tikka masala (very good, one of the best he has ever eaten), lamb and spinach (amazing, very lean lamb and perfectly cooked and tempered for her chosen heat rating) and the paneer with potato and spinach (simply amazing) all accompanied with 1 portion of pilau rice (between 4 was a good sized portion) and a garlic and coriander naan, which again was a good size. Deserts were shared between us, we had a chocolate bomb kind of thing (name escapes me and like an amateur I forgot the picture!) and a half coconut filled with coconut ice cream. For drinks we had 2 pints of monsoon, 2 pints of cobra and a pint of kingfisher, in total it came to £81.20, which we all thought was astounding value given the quality of the food and the size of the portions.
