   Ordered a large chips, fishcake (A proper one with a slab of fish sandwiched between two slices of potato and deep fried), battered sausage, scraps and homemade Tartar Sauce. Food was amazing and very tasty, portions generous, friendly staff and quick service.

   On 23 February we ordered and paid for fish and chips to be delivered by Uber. Today is 1 March and they have yet to be delivered. At first Uber said the bill might not be charged, but it has been. We have held conversations with Uber, but they say that the delay forbids a refund. We feel it is unwise to use Uber Eats.

   I recently ordered from Woodside Fisheries via a delivery service, and unfortunately a few of my items didn't arrive. When I called to notify Woodside Fisheries they were fantastic about it and scrambled to make sure I got the rest of my order as quickly as possible. We all make mistakes, but handling them professionally is the sign of a fantastic business. Massive kudos. The food was great too.

   Really wanted to like this place as the owner and staff were so friendly and the service was great, however, I don't think we'll be re-visiting. The chips were delicious, the problem was the fish. While it was freshly cooked, it was clearly not great quality and fell apart into tiny flaky pieces rather than being the chunky and meaty fish you expect in a good chip shop for these types of prices. The batter was also too thick, meaning that it wasn't crispy and it left an uncooked flour slime on the fish. The fish is the main part of the meal for me, and the best chips in the world won't redeem a bad one. Homemade steak pie did look nice though, so maybe if we're ever passing I'll try that. Certainly won't be getting fish again though.

   Had pie, chips and gravy today. Quite tasty and chips not greasy. The pie tasted lovely but I did think the portion given was smaller and thinner than expected. The staff were all friendly and on the ball. Would definitely recommend.

   This place is my fav in UK! The batter on fish is awesome. The chips are perfect. Friendly service an all .. you can get bigger portions elsewhere but this is the quality portion. Great selection of drinks to go with it too.
