Whenever I go up to Leeds, I try to visit this Fish and Chips shop since the fish and the batter is really good. It is up there with Murt and the other one in Wakefield. Beef dripping frying in these northern chippies really makes a difference compare to the ones down south.

Absolutely dreadful experience—genuinely one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever had. I asked for a battered sausage, and they flat-out refused to put one in. Not that they forgot it or made a mistake—they just wouldn’t do it. No explanation, no apology, just a flat “no,” like I was asking for something outrageous. It’s a chip shop, not a fine dining restaurant—how hard is it to include a battered sausage? What I ended up with was dry, tasteless, and barely warm. Honestly, I’d have been better off pulling a raw potato out of the back of the cupboard and eating that instead. At least that would’ve had some texture and flavour. The meal felt like an afterthought, slapped together with zero care and even less seasoning. If you’ve got no taste buds and your standards are in the gutter, then maybe—maybe—you’d find some enjoyment here. For anyone else with functioning senses, I’d advise you to steer clear. A complete waste of time and money. If I could give this 0 stars, I would.

Just called for fish and chips. Was lovely. No complaints there although when we come next time we'll ask for 2 scollops in the butty as one barely filled the middle of the large tea cake. Food is good quality

Tonight we had a big fish and chips meal from here and they were delicious. Freshly cooked to order and so tasty, pjs has to be one of not the best fish and chip shops in the area. Highly recommended to any and everyone. The food here is so fresh and so tasty I can not recommend this fish shop anymore than 5stars. The curry sauce maybe the best I’ve ever had from any chip shop ever you will not be disappointed with the curry sauce it’s so good.

Called yesterday for fish chips . I can only discribe them has discusting the worst fish chips we have ever had they used to be good but my advice would be not to waste your hard earned money on them . I will discribe to you all that the fish tasted like damp mold. Not a very pleasant taste to have in your mouth believe me .I write this review because I used to own my own fish chip shop so I know what I am talking about. At this time of year all fish should be of good quality winter caught fish is always better than summer caught fish. If you have ever heard the term Scarborough woof . Well this is w————ers woof the owner will know who I am talking about doesn’t waste your money stay away

What can I say about this beautiful little Gem of a place? It's the best Fish and Chips I have eaten. The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Definitely a place to visit.
