Called here late Wednesday lunchtime, a short wait to be seated. We opted for cod, chips, peas and bread and butter, along with a couple of pints of Peroni. They do offer a full menu here for those who want an alternative to fish and chips. All was good other than the cod was a little overcooked, this was dealt with very professionally, taken away and a perfectly cooked cod arrived swiftly. The service was friendly and very helpful and efficient. The diners around us were also friendly and made this a five star experience.

I have passed this restaurant many times but today I decided to call in and I was so glad I did, the food There is absolutely beautiful. The staff do not rush you in between your courses. The food comes to the table piping hot we had a pensioners 3 course for £16.50 and the portions are a very good size. If I am ever down that way again, I shall be definitely calling back in. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. Keep up the good work.

Went here when staying at the Premier Inn opposite. Food was delicious. Sevice a little slow when we initially sat down, but that was because it was very busy. The food made up for the wait.

Absolutely fantastic first time here at Murgatroyds. The reviews were right! The Big’un certainly lived up to its name and the whole experience was made that extra special by our waiter, Harry. Keep up the great work!

Went to try the traditional Fish and chips , along with my guests from India, booked a table in advance, so we did not wait to be seated, though there was a line at the gate. Food was fantastic, potion sizes are too generous and taste is awesome, the fish was melt in your mouth, though the quantity of oil remaining in the fish could be less.

Arguably the best chip shop in Leeds. The menu is extensive and ranges from chips for only £2 to a foot long haddock for £13. Service with a smile and a minimal wait time makes this number one in my books

The best fish and chips. Great sized portions, good menu options, fantastic batter and perfectly cooked, flavoursome chips every time. Really cannot go wrong. The restaurant is fantastic too.
