One of our favourite unplanned teatime places. Friendly, helpful staff and nice menu with decent portions. Suitable for all ages but I suggest if bringing children sitting in the restaurant as the bar conversations can become a bit leery and unmanaged :(

Great meal but a little bit flustered at midday for the first order it seemed… food took an okay time to come and was really nice. The offer itself meant that the 2 for 10.99 was reasonable since we were a group of four plus could add on for a small amount extra. Great atmosphere and lovely place to eat and have a drink. Great selection of other drinks and a good array of food not just on the offers menu too. For non alcoholic beverages there were a selection of mock tails or refillable diet / low sugar drinks available too.

There was not a lot of chicken meals and pies available on the menu as it was taken off. Massive list of menu changes by the till. The place was understaffed, and we were informed that they had sent staff home early in the day due to the place not being busy. The staff have been rushed off their feet, and management evidently stressed. The kids' food was excellent for what we paid £5.99 for three courses, and the kids had fantastic portions . The chicken wings was also value for money and tastes great. Puddings took forever to come however, kids again had loads of ice cream and adults enjoyed their jam rolls polly and ice cream Sundae. They have a play placed £4.99 per child, which is ridiculous. The play place should be free to all paying customers.

Very understaffed. The poor chap with glasses on (sorry I didn’t get his name) was doing his best. He was always friendly and polite. Had to wait for juice glasses, small plates, cutlery, even toilet rolls when my 2 year old grandson was taken to the bathrooms only to find there was no toilet rolls in place. Not good experience for the £20 breakfast but food was nice and this guy deserves a medal when returned at 12 noon for my grandson to play in warehouse the same chap served us into there also.

Out for my mother's 60th birthday with my brother, his wife and my partner. Let's get to the juicy stuff first as that's what you're here for! The food as you can tell, was pathetic. I ate it because after waiting for almost 40 minutes, I was hungry. It didn't take long, obviously. That's with a side of 'dirty onion rings' too. The steak was my partners. I asked for medium rare however it was more well done and rubbery boot style. Most of the dishes on the table could have done with more food on it. I should have got a carvery where I could have actually filled my plate. £11.25 for the pie dish pictured. Absolutely ridiculous quality and quantity. The quality of the food was questionable too. The mash had a crust on it. A hard side to it. The chicken on my partner's mixed grill looked like rubber. As mentioned above, the steak was not cooked as requested either. Good things: The dirty onoin rings. The fella who I spoke to about pie-gate said he would deal with it and offered us two free deserts which were greatly received. The free brownies with ice-cream were good. I won't be back though.

Stopped for lunch today. The cheap special for two is good value. I had a gammon steak which was excellent. My wife had the smothered chicken which was disappointingly tough. Drinks were good. The down side today was the cleanliness of the tables. The waiter pointed to the restaurant and said go and pick a table then left us to it. It took three tables to find one which was not very sticky and fit to use. We have been eating here for a long time and expected better service.

Hmm the jury’s out ! Kids had a great time shame about the food We called here for lunch . One adult a 7 year old and twins at 3! We were showed to our table and presented with. Childrens menu The twins wanted pizza and capri sun and my grandson wanted chicken popcorn sweetcorn and chips. I wanted a club build salad with a 4oz rump steak and salad! I was told they couldn’t get hold of pizza - seems odd as I’ve not heard of a UK pizza shortage ! Aldo’s no capri sun! They couldn’t supply me with a club salad as they didn’t have the ingredients - this would’ve cost around £10! But they could supply a grilled sirloin with a side salad for £14.95! Did I feel conned a 100% yes. The food came and my grandsons plate was half empty . It did however fill the spot but it all seemed as if no one could bother with presentation -. Think I’d have been better off going to a locally owned cafe ! The play area was fab. Not too many children, clean and tidy and free fruit ! Children loved the play area Food cost £29.50 and play area an additional £7.50

Friendly staff and the food was okay. Lots of things missed despite pre-ordering. Had a 2 hour window to eat 3 course Christmas dinner, which wasn't long enough and made it difficult to relax. The children enjoyed the soft play area and it was good to be able to sit near it but not in and still be able to see. Can see how it would be better if not on Christmas day.
