“Excellent food, lovely staff, will definitely be back!”

“Love me a BrewDog bar. Always done out trendy and on point. Great beer and food. The staff are always attentive. I've never had a bad experience yet. This bar is huge with different sections and shuffleboard in the middle. They were playing great music and I even had a little dance. The only downside is that it was on the quieter side for a Saturday night, I really hope that it gets busier. We will certainly be back! Thinking of going down on wings Wednesday for a sesh!”

“I don’t understand how this hotel has such a low rating. I’ve stayed in hotels all over England for business travel and this is one of the best ones I’ve ever stayed in. It feels more like a four star and it cost £69 for a double! The rooms are spacious, with good desk space and a sofa. The bathrooms are clean and the shower is good. The lobby is huge with chesterfield style leather sofas everywhere. The bar/restaurant has a decent selection. The staff were friendly. I stayed here because my flight was cancelled, but if that happens again, this is where I’m staying.”

“Traditional small pub with a small restaurant. But really performs like a big hitter! Some larger pubs can be noisy and impersonal,not this one though. No music making everyone talk louder to be heard, so the noise level was perfect. As for the food..traditional pub favourites, huge portions, totally tasty and served beautifully. Price? Two courses cost us £20 per head..so great value for money. Finally, the staff were very friendly and even had some banter. Will be coming back!”

“One of the best Sunday roast I’ve had and I love Sunday roast, fantastic service from all the waiters. We didn’t pre book and upon arrival it was busy but with in 5 minutes they got me a table sorted all the staff was so polite and very helpful”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. I put the atmosphere down to 4 stars solely because it was quiet at the time. If I knew you would have taken the heads off the shrimp I would have had the shrimp pasta but couldn't take the gamble. We will be returning in the future :)”

“We called in for a game of pool and something to eat and I'm glad we did ... Corona on draught the place itself is clean and the staff are absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food is home cooked and absolutely delicious this is going to be our regular stop off point without a doubt....”

“We were greeted by lovely, friendly staff on arrival and instantly loved the décor. But of course, we came for the pies we’d heard so much about – and they did not disappoint! I had the garlic chicken and mushroom pie with mash and peas, and it was absolutely delicious. My partner went for the minted lamb pie with dumplings, mash, and peas, and he was just as impressed. The food is home-cooked, full of flavour, and very reasonably priced. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again!”

“Fabulous looking pub with a great choice of food. Had the Holy Cow Pie with chips and peasant it was beautiful. Plenty of steak and mushroom filling and lively pastry. The chips were wonderful and could be swapped for mash if preferred. Had the warm chocolate fudge cake for dessert and I can recommend that too. Thank you very much to the staff who were attentive but not invasive.”

“If you like fish and chips and have a healthy appetite I thoroughly recommend the Special and chips. Very tasty and a whale size portion! I added mushy peas, my wife added gravy, both very tasty.”

“We went for the Sunday dinner and we weren't disappointed! They serving home cooked meals that are really tasty. The two of us enjoyed the imaginative work of the Chef. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. A very reasonable prices and great selection of drinks. Before we left, I ordered homemade pizza to take home which was also delicious.”

“Great pub , by the road side so parking is a bit difficult but not impossible beer great and a good selection, well worth a visit, I should know as I did the line cleaning there.”
