“I’ve lived in Golcar for 6 years and ordered numerous takeaways and dined in the restaurant at Haveli and I’ve never had a bad meal. The food is always fresh and tasty. In my opinion it’s the best Indian restaurant around. Highly recommended”
“Great food and friendly staff Well worth a visit We had the Sunday lunch and it was excellent”
“Our stay at The Foxglove was wonderful. It's in a beautiful location with plenty of parking! All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. Our room was lovely and very clean and located in a building separate from the pub, so it was nice and quiet. We ate breakfast and dinner in the pub. The food was great - especially the Sunday roast! I can't wait to come back!”
“Had a bottomless brunch, unfortunately had a nightmare in the kitchen, so we couldn’t have food but they let us know before arriving so we ate beforehand. This did not stop us having a fantastic time, Jamal treated us amazingly, we asked to move to a warmer table, asked him to take pictures for us and a bunch of other awkward little things that he accommodated for. When he had important paperwork to do we had Courtney take over who was also really accommodating and recommended some drinks for us to have given our tastes so far. Easily the most enjoyable bottomless we’ve had. Would absolutely come again given these two were our servers, if I could give more than 5 stars I would!!”
“Very nice ....good people, good atmosphere. Looking forward to the next time..”
“Food was amazing. 100x better than weatherspoons and cheaper. One of the best burgers I have ever had”
“Quiet afternoon drinks. Friendly staff. Not been in for 20 years.”
“Lovely place, the staff were super attentive and the food was delicious.... My partner has one of the specials, spinach and pumpkin burger, which she adored. I had chicken and chips, it had some French sounding name that I can't remember for the life of me, but it was outstanding. The atmosphere was very calm and professional, we felt relaxed and kind of at home. I highly recommend this place, I would bet that lots of people come here for dates. Thank you for a great start to our day.”
“Nice, friendly pub. Decent selection of beers. Food was spot on. Staff are excellent. Please use pubs like this or we will lose them!”
“First time visit, superb Sunday lunch for mum's birthday. Amazing pea and ham soup followed tender sirloin of beef.”
“Nice pub, friendly staff. Great range of beers and ales.”
“Came across this place randomly on social media and decided to pay a visit as was in the area. Lovely little tap room, friendly knowledgeable staff, and a nice range of beers on tap. More interesting beers than the now commercial Magic Rock so we'll be back when next in the area for sure. They also have various food pop ups and open deck nights, nice to see some variation. YoYo the beer monkey also enjoyed it so it's five stars from us!”
“The roast dinner that doesn't disappoint! Plenty of meat and veg, and great value for money. The staff were lovely too.”
“An AMAZING place. The atmosphere is so chilled and so cool. The bar is small and humble but hey don’t mess about with the Ales; lots of local brews to pass many hours! The cocktail list is extensive, varied with classics and new recipes and are fairly cheap but excellent all across the board. The pizzas are incredible. For the value they are the best pizza in town; all veggie options, you choose 3 toppings then anything else is extra. Fully recommend Hummus on the pizza. Bar Maroc is a place to go on all occasions and energy levels; want an ale? want a night out? Want to simply sit with a brew and read? All is possible at all times and all are welcome. The bar below ‘Small Seeds’ (see photo of ‘The Good Earth Collective’ playing, attached) is brilliantly and wonderfully decorated. Drinks and pizzas available down here from the same owners as upstairs. Great live music venue and great music there after.”
“This is a great, welcoming and cosy place. The food is really good tasty and hearty fare. I had the Whitby scampi and will again. A cut above any scampi I've ever had. A nice half of cask ale and a perfect lunch.”
“We enjoyed our meal: large portions: good choice on the menu and excellent, friendly service. The Taylor's Landlord wasn't in good condition and there was a poor choice of Rosé wines, but it would be churlish not to give 5 stars.”
“This is an unspoken secret of Huddersfield. Probably the biggest selection of beer you have ever seen, from all over the place. The place has an eclectic feel, with a laid back attitude, with a clientele ranging from OAP's to students. Well worth a visit for real ale fan's.”
“The commite sorted the table arranging and going to every table to get there customers there drinks you couldn't wish for how good and friendly the people were. They didn't try to abuse it .they had the police and another from the council and guess what they passed so it proved it can be done . Thankyou for a great night. Good luck moldgreen lib and keep it up xx”
“Stunning atmosphere, excellent staff, food selection service and price fantastic”
“A real pleasure to be back at 3 Acres after covid and the fire! The rooms have greatly improved, they now are beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom too was beautiful ...but terribly cold. Lunch and dinner were excellent, service as well.”
“Always a lovely atmosphere, and the range and quality of beers is fantastic. Bloody 'ell, they even had Magic Rock's Dairy Freak on draught the last time I was in. Simply sublime!”
“Great food and friendly service. Was a little chilly when I went so it would have been good if the heating was up a little bit. The Beef Stroganoff was excellent and the fish and chips are decent. The chips are cut thick with a crispy exterior. A good quality pub… just get the heating up when it’s cold out. ;)”
“Excellent Ossett pub. Beer quality excellent. Friendly staff. Relaxing place. 5 real ales. Highly Recommended”
“Lovely bar with very friendly staff and great drinks selection!”

“A ready welcome from the barmaid, locals friendly too, nice ale. This place would be warm and inviting even without the real stove fire which was especially appreciated on coldest day of the autumn so far.”
