   First time popping in to this pub. Had an ale which was pretty weak and substandard. We ordered food on their app, ordering the Fish & Chips platter, to then be told they didn't do it, and we could have burgers. Offered us an additional drink with the burger, which would have been free (or cheap for the ale) with the burgers anyway). Chips looked like they were from a packet. The burger was nice, but was quite vinegary. Hard to tell if it was the burger itself or the burger sauce. Nice looking pub inside though. Probably won't be back again.

   Old style pub in town with a new up to date twist. Always busy, staff engage with customers. They are polite and give a warm welcome whenever I go in for a bite to eat. Breakfast is my all time favourite meal. It makes me feel nostalgic seeing all the real ales and also some locally sourced from independent breweries. Fabulous I will be back can’t wait !!

   Been going in the crown for close to 45 years . From tech at lunchtimes 70s , before and after town matches in the 70/80/90s , down town Fri/Sat nights in the 90/00s , to finally a couple of leisurely teatime drinks and a sit down in the 20s .. From Stuart and Sheila to Mr Lee the glass collector to whoever runs it now , it's always been one of my favourite town centre pubs , and usually a good pint too..

   What a great local in town. Great cask choice and quality all served up by friendly staff. A wide variety of food on offer. Try a burger as you won't be disappointed. Will definitely be there again soon.

   Had a meal and inclusive drink. Mine was excellent breaded chicken salad and sauce. Partners pie was rock hard so returned it. Was replaced very quickly and enjoyed it. Pub is clean so are ladies toilets would not hesitate to return.
