“Probably the best chicken shawarma sandwich I've had in a while. Nice soft bread, lovely pickled salad and juicy chicken pieces. Meal with chips was value for money but just the sandwich alone was enough to fill your hunger.”

“I’ve lived in Golcar for 6 years and ordered numerous takeaways and dined in the restaurant at Haveli and I’ve never had a bad meal. The food is always fresh and tasty. In my opinion it’s the best Indian restaurant around. Highly recommended”

“This is my favourite place for getting spices and things like lentils, chickpeas and garlic pickle. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are better than the average corner shop. Fruit and veg are not always great quality (I don’t think there’s much turnover) but prices reflect this.”

“Called in at the weekend needing some help for some bathroom work and the staff were excellent. The two women on the counter were very pleasant and did their best to help and then I had a chat with Lee and he is a guru and knew exactly what I was after! Fitted the items the same afternoon with few issues. Would recommend without hesitation. UPDATE - 26/08. Having decided to try my arm at fitting a bath I called in Screwfix on Saturday morning for some tap-copper pipe connectors (yes, my plumbing knowledge hasn't improved!) Fin did an excellent job in picking out what I needed, even after I bamboozled him with the size of pipe connector I was after (I measured circumference as I haven't sawn them yet!). Anyway, top nodge work from Fin, a credit to Screwfix. Thank you.”

“Our stay at The Foxglove was wonderful. It's in a beautiful location with plenty of parking! All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. Our room was lovely and very clean and located in a building separate from the pub, so it was nice and quiet. We ate breakfast and dinner in the pub. The food was great - especially the Sunday roast! I can't wait to come back!”

“Probably the best Indian in the area. Unlike most places they run a small menu meaning the dishes are well made. The nan is the best i've had and a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Cleanliness needs some attention, the floor was dirty and needs a good scrub.”

“Nice enough Iceland store everything easy to find as walking round . Seemed nice clean and tidy . My daughter couldn't reach something on a shelve and member of staff came straight over with asking him to help. Girl on till was very polite overall nice store .”

“Had a bottomless brunch, unfortunately had a nightmare in the kitchen, so we couldn’t have food but they let us know before arriving so we ate beforehand. This did not stop us having a fantastic time, Jamal treated us amazingly, we asked to move to a warmer table, asked him to take pictures for us and a bunch of other awkward little things that he accommodated for. When he had important paperwork to do we had Courtney take over who was also really accommodating and recommended some drinks for us to have given our tastes so far. Easily the most enjoyable bottomless we’ve had. Would absolutely come again given these two were our servers, if I could give more than 5 stars I would!!”

“The food here is amazing and must be tried to be believed. The main dishes especially the chicken curry were cooked to perfection. You could tell the ingredients were fresh. The starters and mains were generously portioned also. With quite a choice for this type of cuisine I must say I was most pleasantly surprised that Socco has introduced an even higher standard of tasty food. Also, the service was exemplary and the staff are always on hand to assist. I cannot wait to dine there again.”

“It terms of what they stock I find they tend to have very good options and choices for a smaller supermarket. Also it's refreshing to find a place that only stocks free range eggs and not one option for caged hens.”

“Been meaning to come here for a while, and was it worth the visit! I had a vanilla dirty chai which was lovely and a yogurt granola bowl with fruit. They also have options for sweet treats and my partner had scrambled eggs on toast. Lovely relaxed cool vibe, big mix of people here from parents with kids to friends meeting up, pram friendly, wheelchair accessible, seating inside and outside, plenty of parking. I'd definitely come again!”

“I don't know why people are complaining it's a decent shop. Good variety of stuff you can have your parcels delivered and dropped off there for Royal Mail and you can transfer money. Can't complain. They do decent toilet kitchen rolls too in bulk You can also get kosher meat....”
