Unfortunately i have to give only one star. I tend to NOT judge a place with only one encounter. Terrible experience. First time i gone in, they didnβt accept card. The honorable person at the till harshly said βcash only cash onlyβ That was it. Thou i gave them another chance. The second time i ordered online for collection. Collection time said ready by 5:35 I I was there at 5:33. Literally 10 people came to order in store after I was already in there, they got served and there I was still waiting for my order to be ready. Any way. I was given a bag with my orders in 15 minutes later than promised in their app. Forks in the bag were soaked with sauce under the boxes. Completely useless. I ended up cleaning them with the already soaked napkins that were also in the bag and wait for them to dry before i could use them. The order completely different than what i anticipated. I had ordered plain chips. The chips was soaked in a red spicy sauce. And didnβt taste fresh at all I ordered chili garlic chicken, the chicken had absolutely nothing on it just crispy fired chicken pieces. Everything i ordered was supposed to be βun spicyβ but turned out this was the spiciest food I have had in the month. Overall. I am not satisfied with my experience. The inside of the shop looks nice. The tables/booth look comfortable to sit and eat on. Anyway, pictures can show how disappointing everything was. Peace βοΈ.

I enjoyed myself thoroughly here it was really a nice little gem location I found. The only downside is they do cash only if your purchase is less than a particular amount aside that itβs really a nice little place. Update: I Visited a second time and it was even better than the last time . Truly an amazing little spot

The food still tastes great as always and it is conveniently located in Huddersfield town centre close to the bus station. The staff are friendly and willing to assist you in making your order. The environment is beautiful and clean. Aside the fact that the takeaway boxes have reduced in size which is quite sad, the food still maintains its good quality. I really can't fault this restaurant, I just love it!

Went in to have a try of this new place, and below I'll explain my thoughts: Entered into a fresh, new, done-up seating area which was beautifully presented. The server was happy to advise on what to order and I chose sweet and sour chicken, udon noodles, egg fried rice and crispy chicken. Having tried Oodles at a range of different places, the size of the box was far too small for how much I paid to them. The crispy chicken was still cold inside (and wasn't really crispy at all, although in fairness it did have some flavour), and the udon noodles were flavourless and they just seemed to be coloured brown. In terms of the egg-fried rice, it was large grains of plain rice accompanied with extremely small amounts of egg. It wasn't anywhere near traditional as they make it out to be, and it would be unfair to say that it was an Indo-chinese fusion either. You'd expect egg fried rice to be the staple of any place that says that they are Chinese, and I was disappointed that they couldn't achieve this. The overall presentation of the box was good, but if the food inside isn't good too, then the value for money just isn't there. I think that it is fair to say that for the price I paid, it wasn't worth the money and the box was far too small. The pricing structure offered makes you feel that a large is the 'best value for money', but there really is minimal difference between a medium and a large β both are equally overpriced, and more so with the small. I didn't finish the food despite buying the large as I didn't like the Udon noodles or rice, so I would not recommend those two if you do decide to visit. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty nice, hence why I have rated this two stars rather than one. I have visited the other branches (including the old and new one in Leeds), both of which have far better quality of ingredients and overall satisfaction. I feel that for Oodles to use a franchise model in this case has led to a decrease in quality, so for me personally, I would not visit again in a hurry. To increase the star level for this review: I'd appreciate seeing a fairer pricing model, better value for money, and a bit more flavour added overall. Photos below of the restaurant interior and of my half-eaten box which was left over.
