mainly onions in every dish. £85 spent and not even a single prawn cracker for free. Not the point but makes you think why bother.
Absolutely vile food. Spent £45 for two people. The meat was not beef, I don't even know what it was... it way grey and gooey. Wouldn't even feed it to my dog. There was no other meat in my special fried rice. Ordered crispy beef with was grey and discoloured... it was dry and no beef in the middle. It definitely was not beef in my food. I ordered oyster sauce which tastes and looks like it's straight out of dish water. Called the shop because it hadn't been set to "delivered" on JustEat... they said they'd done it but it still shows as 20 minutes away meaning I can't claim my money back. I don't know how they have any good reviews if thats what their food is like. I feel sick and completely put off Chinese after this. Absolutely appalling!!! Don't know how they're still open.
Couldn't recommend this place enough! Our go to Chinese, the food is always top quality with great portions. On a recent order, they very kindly went back out to us after a drink was missing, and threw in some prawn crackers! Amazing customer service
Absolutely cracking food. 10 of us ordered a variety of things and all of us, even the picky eaters were happy with their food. Service was great, the man who took our massive order was lovely. Thank you Eastern Star, best Chinese we've had for by a country mile.
One star is generous as had there been a no star option I would have picked that! Avoid this place at all costs, food inedible, wait time is ridiculous, eta 7.30pm-7.50pm received at 8.20pm after chasing 4 times, was told driver had delivered when we were still waiting, then driver arrives, unable to communicate at all, requested refund and asked them to collect the food…. Will NEVER use this place again…would not refund so to add insult had to spend ages chasing Uber eats, they should be removed from UBER EATS
Ordered through Uber eats but can't leave review. By far the worst Chinese I've had. Salt and pepper chips consisted of chips and chopped up onions. Salt and pepper ribs tasted of nothing. Chicken and mushroom dish was okayish. Very soggy chicken. Girlfriend did not like her chicken chow mein. £28... complete waste of money Would I go again ? Certainly not. I actually feel extremely unsatisfied tbh. :/ Should of stuck to the usual. Wow I'm disappointed.
Had some issues with a recent order, the owner actually stopped by herself and apologised and refunded the order which I really appreciated. It is the only issue we have had and generally the food is really good, so we will be back
Used to love this place a couple of years ago, but it's definitely gone down hill, food is bland and greasy! No flavour, had to add my own sauce just so I could Eat it! Very disappointed and won't be ordering from here again!!!
Really nice. Ordered on uber eats and was very impressed. We ordered the small golden box which was perfect for the 2 of us to try a good selection of food, only Negative would be that it was very salty but its not a massive deal for me. The chow mein was also great and really big. Very good value. Will order again when we want a Chinese to try more of the menu.
The best Chinese in Huddersfield. Absolutely love the food from here, the salt and pepper range is amazing. Chips are always bob on. Chicken bites are really good. Noodles also always cooked to perfection. Won't go anywhere else. Really tasty, and had a few takeaways recently from here and have been really nice. Never had an issue. Thank you so much :) :)
